Assignment 1 – Bathroom and Kitchen Design

SUBMISSION DETAILS FOR BATHROOM & KITCHEN DESIGN

Each group is expected to design a residential bathroom AND a residential kitchen.
The requirements and specifications for those designs are as follows:
1. Plans and at least two sections (including elevation details on the background)
for each design. The bathroom should cover an area around 8-10 square
meters, while the kitchen should 12-15 square meters. The height of each
space should be between 2,50 and 2,80 meters. The drawing scale is 1/20 (All
drawing and dimensioning principles should be followed; ergonomics should
be considered; doors, windows, and chimneys (if there are any) should be
indicated; lower RC slab or suspended ceiling selection should be
demonstrated).
2. Selected materials (for floor, wall, and ceiling finishing, vitrified products and
fixtures, appliances, cupboards, cabinets, countertops, etc.) should be stated.
3. The elements applied in the designs should be studied both by function and
details in use.
4. The goods applied in kitchen design (refrigerator, microwave, oven,
dishwasher, etc.) should be specified with their dimensions and product
details.
5. All drawings should be presented on A3 size paper, landscape oriented. The
frame on the sheet should have 1,5 cm margin on left, and 1 cm margin on all
other sides. Sheet number, sheet name, group name, course code, and date
should be written on a line 0,5 cm above the bottom frame line.
6. Drawings should be submitted as a folder with a cover page on which the
group name and the names of the group members are written.
7. Drawings either handmade or printouts of AutoCAD are acceptable.
8. All the indications on each drawing and other texts should all be in English,
as consistent with the language of the course!!

Her grup birer adet konut/ev tipi banyo ve mutfak tasarımı gerçekleştiriyor olacaktır.
Bu tasarımlar dahilinde istenilenler;
1. Plan & en az 2 kesit (görünüş detaylarını içeren nitelikte) – Banyo için
yaklaşık 8 -10 m², mutfak için ise yaklaşık 12 – 15 m² plansal büyüklük
düşünülmelidir. Mekansal olarak yükseklik 2.50 m. – 2.80 m. olarak
alınabilir. Ölçek :1/20 (Tüm çizim ve ölçülendirme detaylarına uyulmalı,
ergonomi ölçütleri gözetilmeli, kapı, pencere ve bacalar gösterilmeli,
kesitlerde düşük döşeme/ asma tavan tercihi belli edilmelidir).
2. Malzeme seçimleri (yer, duvar ve tavan kaplamaları, vitrifiye ürünler, dolap
ve tezgah, vb.) ve etüdleri belirtilmelidir.
3. Tasarımlarda kullanılan elemanlar fonksiyon ve kullanım detayı açısından
etüd edilmelidir.
4. Mutfak tasarımında kullanılan elemanlar (Buzdolabı, mikrodalga, fırın,
bulaşık makinesi, vb,) seçilmeli, boyutlandırılmalı ve detaylandırılmalıdır.
5. Pafta boyutları A3 yatay olarak kullanılacaktır. Çerçeve ölçüleri soldan
1.5cm diğer kenarlardan 1cm olacaktır. Alt çizgiden 0.5cm lik çizgiler
atılarak(bilgisayar çiziminde bu çizgiye ihtiyaç olmayacaktır) pafta no, pafta
adı, grup adı, ders kodu ve tarih alt çizginin 0.5cm üstüne yazılacaktır.
6. Kapak sayfası oluşturulup gruptaki kişiler ve grup adı kapağa yazılacaktır.
7. El çizimi veya Autocad çizimi kabul edilecektir.
8. Bütün paftaların ve yazıların dersin dili (İngilizce) olması beklenmektedir.
