INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON KARA MÜRSEL ALP & HISTORY OF KOCAELI SYMPOSIUM INVITATION Dear Scholars, We would like to invite you to reveal your studies at a symposium held by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, entitled “INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON KARAMURSEL ALP & HISTORY OF KOCAELI” which will take place on April 03-05, 2015. The main theme of this symposium is Karamürsel Alp, History of Kocaeli and the political, social and economical events of the Kocaeli Peninsula throughout history. The objective of this symposium is to contribute to researches on the history of Kocaeli within the scope of the local history studies and also contribute to culture, strengthen cooperation and communication among the academicians, at the same time commemorate Karamürsel Alp, one of the most significant personages of the Ottoman establishment period in Kocaeli.
