1014 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE STERNAL CRISTA ILIAC ASPIRATION NEEDLE 1. Used for the purpose of sternal aspiration. 2. Prepare patient for the procedure according to standard aseptic technique and ensure patient will remain in proper position throughout the procedure. 3. Open pack using sterile technique. 4. Remove plastic tip protector and examine needle body and tip in order to confirm its integrity. 5. Remove stylet then place it again to confirm smooth movement. 6. Unscrew depth marker clockwise until you acquire desired cannula length. ® 7. Start puncture while holding STILO-CAN Sternal Crista Iliac Aspiration Needle vertical to surface. 8. Apply gentle pressure, a slight resistance indicates that you have entered bone tissue. Increase pressure and twist gently in both directions in order to enter into bone marrow. 9. Remove stylet and attach a syringe, preferably with luer lock or slip lock onto syringe. Pay attention to a fit connection and secure fixation. Pay attention not to move needle while attaching syringe on it. 10. Aspire required amount of bone marrow. 11. After completing the application, remove needle from patient by gently twisting it. 12. Dispose needle and syringe according to medical waste regulations. WARNINGS: This device is to be used only for professional purpose and by trained professionals. Do not use if package is torn or damaged. These are not sterile. Store in cool, dry and dust free environments. After use dispose device according to medical disposal regulations.
