(1) Write the problem statement (definition)
(2) Develop the LP model of the problem (decision variables, objective function and constraints)
(3) Solve the problem with Simpleks or Big-M method and interpret the optimal solution. (If you could
not reach the optimal basis after three Simplex tables, stop there)
(4) Solve the problem with LINDO and interpret the optimal solution.
(5) Launch the the sensitivity report of LINDO and interpret the values of following components in detail
by giving examples
- Reduced Cost (Marjinal Maliyet)
- Slack or Surplus
- Dual Prices (Gölge Fiyatları)
- Objective Coefficient Ranges (Temel optimum çözümün ve karar değişkeni değerlerinin
değişmediği amaç fonksiyonu katsayı aralıkları)
- Righthand side ranges (Temel optimum çözüm kombinasyonunun değişmediği sağ taraf sabiti
değer aralıkları)
(6) Since you know the optimal basis (basic variable set) of the problem from (4), by using Simplex tables
make the sensitivity analysis of at least three of the following:
(a) Changing the objective function coefficient of a non-basic variable
(b) Changing the objective function coefficient of a basic variable
(c) Changing right hand side of a constraint
(d) Changing the column of a non-basic variable
(e) Adding a new variable or an activity
