Kemal Bey, öncelikle okurlarımız için sizi tanıyabilir miyiz?
Çalışma hayatıma Türk Hava Kuvvetleri’nde başladım; emeklilik
sonrasında Pegasus Hava Yolları’nda devam ederek Emniyet
Yönetimi, Eğitim, Uçuş İşletme ve Güvenlik Departmanlarında
16 yılı aşkın süre görev aldım. Halen Pegasus Hava Yolları’nda
Emniyet Yönetimi ve Kalite Direktörü olarak görev yapmakta
olup, aktif kaptan pilot olarak da uçuş hayatımı sürdürmekteyim.
Sir, could you tell us about yourself?
I started working at the Turkish Air Forces and after retiring
from military I assumed roles at Safety Management, Flight
Operations and Security Departments of the Pegasus Airlines
for over 16 years. I am still working as the Safety Management
and Quality Director at the Pegasus Airlines while also
continuing my flight life as an active pilot.
Havacılığa olan ilginiz nasıl başladı? Havacılık sektöründe
yer almaya ne zaman karar verdiniz?
Ben havacı bir babanın oğlu olarak büyüdüm. Belki çok klasik
bir cevap olacak ama ilkokul yıllarımdan beri hayalimde hep
bu sektör içerisinde bulunmak vardı. İlkokul sonrası bu istek
doğrultusunda askeri lise hayatım başladı.
How did your interest in aviation start? When did you decide
taking part in the aviation sector?
I was raised as the son of an aviator father. It would perhaps be
a classical answer but I was
dreaming being part of this
sector since my childhood.
After being graduated
from the primary school, I
started military high school
accordingly with this dream.

What makes Pegasus different

flight safety? Could you tell us
about steps taken for flight safety,
as well as the investment that were
being made?
For the stabilized growth, you should
believe in the importance of the safety. The
biggest characteristic of Pegasus is that the
whole staff, no matter what their rankings
