ADVANCES IN CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIAS and GREAT INNOVATIONS IN CARDIOLOGY UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI TORINO XXVI Giornate Cardiologiche Torinesi From Caliper to Catheter Directors Fiorenzo Gaita Sebastiano Marra Turin October 23-25, 2014 Galleria D’Arte Moderna Centro Congressi Unione Industriale di Torino JOINT MEETING OF CARDIOLOGY Scientific Committee Malcolm Bell, Usa Martin Borggrefe, Germany Amir Lerman, Usa Jean François Leclercq, France Dipen Shah, Suisse Organization Committee Monica Andriani, Italy Matteo Anselmino, Italy Carlo Budano, Italy Davide Castagno, Italy UNDER THE AUSPICES OF INVITATION LETTER The Congress “Advances in Cardiac Arrhythmias and Great Innovations in Cardiology” deals with the newest developments in the diagnosis of cardiac diseases. In particular, during the three days, the Symposium will delve into sudden cardiac death pathogenesis and prevention, acute cornary syndromes treatment and innovations in the field of heart failure. A whole session will focus on atrial fibrillation managment presenting the most innovative therapies and techniques and another will based on real clinical cases with experts discussion and interaction with the audience. Also, in this forthcoming edition, there will be space for luncheon sessions. During these sessions the practical use of novel oral anticoagulants will be reviewed and insights into novel interventional treatments such as percutaneous treatment of mitral regurgitation and bioadsorbable stents will be provided. The Symposium gathers some of the gratest Italian and International experts together giving prominence and success to the event. Furthermore, the fruitful cooperation between Città della Salute e della Scienza Hospital in Turin and The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, allows sharing of knowledge and expertise between the two Institutions. We really hope you will enjoy the Congress.
