The stunning scenery provides the basis for all ski sports on the Aletsch
plateau. The people in charge of the mountain railways are aware of the
fact that high-quality tourism can be provided on a sustainable basis
only if the landscape remains intact.

All skiers must observe the regulations of the slopes and rescue services
as well as the FIS regulations.
Slope Information Boards
The slope bulletin boards provide information about the current
condition of each area. The runs are marked with luminous paint as
follows:
Run border on the right 80 cm high
Run border on the left 30 cm high
Forest and wildlife protection
Young trees in the mountains have a tough life. Their growth is complicated by barren grounds, extreme weather conditions, frost, and
drought. Wild animals survive long, harsh mountain winters looking for
food, moving as little as possible, and taking a lot of rest. Therefore, we
also grant space and recovery to our forest and wildlife and never leave
the signposted slopes of the protected areas.
Never leave the marked and patrolled runs.
It is strictly forbidden to enter closed ski runs!
Outside operating hours, ski pistes are closed and not guaranteed
safe from dangers such as avalanche blasting or grooming machines
with winch cables. The daily monitoring of the slopes ends with the
final piste patrol. If you decide to ski down closed pistes, you do so
entirely at your own risk. Danger to life! Skiing on closed runs is
prohibited!
La fantastica natura dell’altopiano dell’Aletsch costituisce la condizione
ideale per praticare lo sci. I gestori degli impianti di risalita sono
consci che un turismo di qualità può essere promosso a lungo termine
solamente in un ambiente intatto.
Tutela della flora e della fauna
I giovani alberi di montagna hanno vita difficile. La loro crescita viene
ostacolata da terreni essenzialmente poveri, condizioni climatiche
estreme, gelo e aridità. Durante il lungo inverno in montagna, la
strategia di sopravvivenza della fauna selvatica consiste nel cercare
nutrimento, muoversi poco e riposarsi molto. Consentiamo, dunque,
anche alla flora e alla fauna di rigenerarsi e nei territori protetti non
lasciamo le piste contrassegnate!
Inconsiderate Behavior
Inconsiderate behavior, such as not observing the FIS regulations, ignoring signals and barriers, leaving the designated runs, or vandalization of
any facility will result in the immediate confiscation of the ski pass.
Children
Children below the height of 1.25 m must be accompanied by an adult
on the chairlifts. Children riding piggyback is strictly prohibited on all
skilifts and slopes!
What to do in the event of an accident?
Report all accidents immediately to the nearest station or to a member
of the ski patrol with precise directions as to the location of the
accident. Every skier is obliged to provide first aid to any injured party.
Ogni sciatore deve rigorosamente attenersi alle disposizioni del servizio
piste e di soccorso nonché ai regolamenti FIS.
La tavola sinottica delle piste vi informano sulla situazione attuale della
regione sciistica. Le piste sono contrassegnate con vernice luminescente
come segue:

Siete pregati di non lasciare mai le piste sicure dotate di marcatura.

Comportamento scoretto
In casi di comportamento scorretto, quali l’inosservanza dei regolamenti
FIS, il mancato rispetto della segnaletica e degli sbarramenti nonché
l’allontanarsi dalle piste marcate e contrassegnate e di danni arrecati
alle infrastrutture, sono soggetti al ritiro immediato dello skipass.
Bambini
I bambini fino ad altezza di 1,25 m possono viaggiare in seggiovia
solo se accompagnati da un adulto. E’ proibito trasportare bambini a
cavalluccio sulle sciovie e sulle piste da sci!
Cosa fare in caso d’infortunio?
Segnalare immediatamente l’infortunio alla prossima stazione oppure
ad un addetto delle piste indicando esattamente il luogo dell’incidente.
Chiunque pratichi sport invernale è tenuto a prestare soccorso alle
persone infortunate.

2.Move in control. Adapt your manner of skiing or snowboarding and
speed to your ability and to the general conditions on the mountain.

An Alpine hut atmosphere right by the slopes. Enjoy the famous
“Hüttenhörnli” pasta speciality or a tasty “Käseschnitte” (a slice of bread
with baked cheese on top), all washed down with a nice glass of Valais
wine. Pedestrians can be carried by the Wurzenbord chairlift (ascent only).

Bask in the warming rays of the sun on the Aletsch Arena sun plateau.
High above the Rhone Valley you can enjoy a breathtaking view of
Switzerland’s most beautiful 4,000-metre peaks.
At 23 kilometres in length, the Aletsch Glacier is the longest ice stream
in the Alps. It is best admired from the viewpoints of Bettmerhorn,
Moosfluh or Eggishorn.
The Kühboden market restaurant – fresh, distinctive and fast with
family-friendly prices. Enjoy a different dining experience at the T-Bar à
la carte restaurant.
