Statement from Bishop-Elect Dabrowski
I would like to offer “thanks” to God for the gift of calling me to serve the Church, God’s
people, the Michaelite community, and my brother priests.
When I was ordained approximately 24 years ago, I never would have dreamt that someday
I would become a Bishop. Having been appointed to this office in the year dedicated to
Consecrated Life, and on the Feast Day of St. Don Bosco, seems truly providential.
I am elated to work with our diocesan priests in nurturing our Catholic faith and promoting
religious vocations to our youth.
As I begin this new chapter in my life, I look forward to working in tandem with our
Bishop in journeying with the faithful in our Diocese. I pray that God will continue to
bless me and my ministry, and grant me the knowledge, wisdom, and compassion required
to serve the people in this great Diocese of London.
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and our Bishop
Ronald Peter for the trust and confidence they have placed in me.
I begin this new time in my life confident that the prayers of the Holy Father, the
Michaelite community, the diocesan community, the parish family, my own family and
friends, and the Catholic faithful, will be with me. Without this collective support I would
not be able to accept this responsibility.
Thank you for your warm and heartfelt expressions of support and
joy as I begin my new ministry here in the Diocese of London.
Ever since the news of my appointment, parishioners, brother priests, friends and family
from many corners of the world have been sending notes and kind greetings. For these, I
am grateful, and humbled. My Episcopal ordination will take place on the 14th of April at
3pm at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica in London. In the coming days I will be on a
retreat in order to prepare myself for this celebration. Please remember to pray for me that I
will have the gifts necessary to serve Bishop Fabbro as his auxiliary, and also to serve the
people of the London Diocese.
I know you have many questions, therefore I will continue to answer them as part of the
announcement at each Mass.
We are planning my episcopal ordination and we will be hosting many guests; my parents,
siblings with their spouses, bishops from Poland, Superior General and brother priests
from my religious community, as well as family members even parishioners from my home
parish. I am overwhelmed with all the preparations that are under way. We are forming a
committee of volunteers to help with many tasks. In the days ahead we will have more
details. We need all the help we can get!
Please continue to pray for me and also keep Fr. Peter in your prayers as we are going
through all those changes in anticipation for my bishop’s ordination. God bless, bishop

Day of the sick: will be celebrated at our parish on Friday, February 13th at 11:00
o’clock – in Italian. During Mass, people who wish to receive the sacrament of the sick
are welcome to do so. After Mass, you are invited to the parish hall for a hot lunch
offered by the C.W.A. The invitation for lunch is for both English and Italian members of
our parish community.
The Sacrament of the sick in English will be offered on Saturday, February
14th during the 5:00 p.m. Mass
Dichiarazione del vescovo eletto Dabrowski
Vorrei rendere <grazie> a Dio per il dono di avermi chiamato per servire la Chiesa, il
popolo di Dio, la comunità dei padri Micheliti e i miei fratelli sacerdoti.
Quando fui ordinato circa 24 anni fa, mai avrei pensato che un giorno sarei diventato
vescovo. Essendo stato nominato a questo ufficio nell’anno dedicato alla vita consacrata
ed il giorno della festa di San Giovanni Bosco, sembra essere davvero provvidenziale.
Sono particolarmente eccitato al pensiero di poter lavorare con i nostri sacerdoti diocesani
nel nutrire la nostra fede cattolica e promuovere le vocazioni religiose per i nostri giovani.
Mentre inizio questo nuovo capitolo della mia vita, non vedo l’ora di lavorare insieme al
nostro vescovo, in cammino con i fedeli nella nostra diocesi. Prego che Iddio continui a
benedire me e il mio ministero e a concedermi la consapevolezza, saggezza e compassione
necessarie a servire il popolo di questa grande diocesi di London.
Desidero esprimere la mia più profonda gratitudine al nostro Santo Padre, Papa Francesco
ed al nostro vescovo Ronald Peter per la fiducia che hanno riposto in me.
Inizio questo nuvo capitolo della mia vita confidente che le preghiere del Santo Padre, la
comunità dei Micheliti, la comunità diocesana, la famiglia parrocchiale, la mia famiglia ed
amici ed i fedeli cattolici saranno con me. Senza questo supporto collettivo non sarei in
grado di accettare questa responsabilità.
Grazie per le vostre calorose e sincere espessioni di sostegno e gioia
mentre inizio il mio nuovo ministero qui nella diocesi di London.
So che avete tante domande da fare, pertanto, continuerò a rispondere ad esse come parte
dell’annuncio in ogni messa.
Da quando la notizia della mia nomina si è sparsa, parrocchiani, fratelli sacerdoti, amici e
familiari da ogni angolo del mondo mi hanno inviato saluti ed auguri. Per questo ne sono
molto grato. La mia ordinazione episcopale avrà luogo il 14 aprile alle ore 3:00 p.m.
presso la Cattedrale di St. Peter in London. Nei prossimi giorni andrò in ritiro per
prepararmi per questa celebrazione. Vi prego di pregare per me affinchè avrò i doni
necessari per servire il vescovo Fabbro come suo ausiliare e anche per servire il popolo
della diocesi di London.
Stiamo progettando la mia ordinazione episcopale e arriveranno tanti ospiti; i miei genitori,
le mie sorelle con i loro coniugi, i vescovi provenienti dalla Polonia, il superiore generale e
fratelli sacerdoti della mia comunità religiosa come pure membri della mia famiglia e
parrocchiani della mia chiesa in Polonia. Sono sbigottito con tutti i preparativi in corso ed
è per questo che stiamo formando un comitato di volontari per aiutare con molte attività.
Nei prossimi giorni avremo ulteriori dettagli e abbiamo bisogno di tutto l’aiuto che
possiamo ottenere.
Vi prego di continuare a tenerci presenti nelle vostre preghiere sia a me che p. Pietro
mentre affrontiamo tutti questi cambiamenti in attesa della mia ordinazione al vescovato.

Giornata per gli ammalati: verrà celebrata nella nostra parrocchia, venerdì, 13
febbraio alle ore 11:00am durante la quale, offriremo il sacramento degli ammalati a
coloro che desiderano riceverlo. Subito dopo segue un pranzo in sala parrocchiale.
Condoglianze: Offriamo le nostre condoglianze alle famiglie di; Donato Di Biccari,
Maria Pia Barbon e Lorenzo La Marra della nostra parrocchia deceduti in queste
settimane. Alla famiglia di Antonio Ruberto fratello di Angela Latella deceduto in Italia.
Preghiamo per le loro famiglie e raccomandiamo la loro anima alla bontà del Signore.
Il Signore li accoglie nella Nuova Gerusalemme.
