We shall organize the JANUS team in WGs in order to properly support the techcnical team and the work of
JUICE SWG / WGs
#1 Geology of Icy Satellites and Io (including impact tectonics, cryovolcanism, Io volcanism, color
variations, habitable zones and age determination as subgroups)
#2 Cartography of Icy Satellites (including the stereo aspects, basemap generation, nomenclature as
subgroups)
#3 Physical Properties of Icy Satellites and Io (rotation, internal structure, photometry, magnet field /
surfaces interactions)
#4 Atmosphere (dynamical processes, cloud systems, instabilities, lightning; convective events)
#5 Jovian System Aspects (exospheres, rings, small satellites).
SWG and WGs activities and outcomes: reports from JANUS WG participants (???)

Core team meeting on instrument development; we shall discuss:
Review of S/S requirements specifciations (we shall define how to proceed here)
Internal I/Fs definition: thermal and mechanical design of OHU (already starting on Thursday)
Instrument development activities – including TRL status and paln to TRL 5 - and schedule
(discussion on activities on ALL S/Ss)
IPRR results and preparation of the Instrument Consolidation Review, ICR (Sep to Oct 2014 - TBC) –
inputs from ESA missing !!!
