the 65th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting
Interdisciplinary Meeting with Nobel Laureates from the fields of physics, physiology or
medicine and chemistry
28 June - 3 July 2015
At the Lindau Meeting in 2015 more than 600 young scientists from all over the world will get the
unique chance to spend an inspiring week with about 70 Nobel Laureates to exchange experiences and
establish valuable contact in science and beyond. Like in the past years, the European Commission
will nominate a limited number of Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellows to participate at this meeting.
Before applying, please read carefully the selection criteria below.
In addition, it is important you make sure that you will have the necessary funding to meet your part of
the costs at the time of the event, which is 1,250 EUR plus your own travel costs to and from the
Please note that the related costs must be met by your host and/or through your Marie
Skłodowska-Curie project. We strongly recommend that you get a confirmation from your host
that these costs can be and will be met at the appropriate time (ca. June 2015).
The process is a two-step procedure. At the first stage you should submit three items:

either in a supervisory role in your project; or who maybe well acquainted with your work; or
who is a leading scholar in the field and sufficiently knowledgeable about you. At most this
should be one page and contain the formal letterhead of the organisation of the person signing
the letter. Please ensure the letter of recommendation is specific for you and for the Lindau
2015 event;
your current CV.
Priority will be given to Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellows who show a strong commitment to
interdisciplinary aspects covering two or more of the fields of physics, physiology or medicine
and chemistry, for example by interdisciplinary projects or double degrees.
In addition, fellows should:
not be older than 35 years of age (we are however willing to consider applications from
researchers who are a little bit older and had some breaks during their career such as maternity
or paternity leaves).

commit themselves to being present for the full duration of the meeting.
not already have a permanent position, e.g., on the professor level.
