Laura Salvatore, psicologo clinico, laureata all’Università degli Studi di Torino, iscritta all’Ordine Nazionale degli Psicologi di Roma, è membro della American Psychological Association ,della sua divisione V per la Ricerca qualitativa in psicologia e della div. XXII Rehabilitation
Psychology. Già psicologo nella sanità pubblica e docente di Psicologia Generale e dell’Età Evolutiva al Conservatorio Statale di Musica G.
Verdi di Torino e di Psicologia Musicale all’Arts Academy di Roma, dirige l’Istituto di Ricerca Psicosensoriale IRP-AIAC ed è attiva anche nella
progettazione e realizzazione di percorsi internazionali di ricerca scientifica. Già docente di “Nuovi approcci di ricerca in Psicologia” nel
Master di I livello “Musica, Dislessia e neuroscienze” del Conservatorio Statale di Musica G. Verdi di Milano è autrice di saggi di psicologia
editati da Franco Angeli Editore, Casaticoop e AIAC Publishing.Ha pubblicato Psicologia Generale e dell’Età Evolutiva, G. Zedde Editore,

Laura Salvatore, clinical psychologist, graduated at the University of Turin. She belongs to the National Order of psychologists - Rome- and
she is a member of the American Psychological Association, Division V for qualitative research in psychology and div. XXII Rehabilitation
Psychology. She has been working in the public health and teaching General and developmental Psychology at the Conservatory of Music
"G. Verdi" of Turin and Psychology of the music at the Arts Academy in Rome.
She is the Scientific Director of the Research and Psycho-sensory Rehabilitation Institute IRP and she is also active in the design and implementation of international scientific research paths. She has been teaching "new approaches to research in Psychology" in the Master
"music, dyslexia and neuroscience" at the Conservatory of music G. Verdi of Milan (Italy) and she is the author of essays of Psychology edited by Franco Angeli Editore, Casaticoop and AIAC Publishing.
Her books: "General and developmental Psychology", Zedde Editore, "Musical psychology and pedagogy", Dante Alighieri Editore - Rome,

Sally Augustin, PhD, è una psicologa ambientale, specializzata in design centrato sulla persona e il Direttore di Design with science
(www.designwithscience.com).
Sally integra le intuizioni dalla psicologia ambientale, della progettazione e delle altre scienze sociali e fisiche e svolge ricerche per sviluppare luoghi, oggetti, e servizi di supporto alla progettazione. I suoi clienti comprendono produttori, fornitori di servizi e aziende di design in
Nord America, Europa e Asia.
Il lavoro di Sally è stata discusso in pubblicazioni come The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Psychology Today,

Sally Augustin, PhD, is a practicing environmental psychologist, specializing in person-centered design, and a principal at Design With Science (www.designwithscience.com). She integrates insights from environmental/design psychology, other social/physical sciences, and
project specific research to develop places, objects, and services that support desired experiences. Her clients include manufacturers, service providers, and design firms in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Sally’s work has been discussed in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Psychology Today,
Prevention, Salon, and Self and in periodicals as diverse as the Chicago Tribune, Natural Home, Gizmodo, and design publications in the
United States, Canada, and Mexico. Augustin writes regular columns for Huffington Post and OfficeInsight. She is a popular online contributor to Psychology Today. Sally also writes a column titled “Places That Work” for the electronic edition of Metropolis.
As the editor of Research Design Connections (www.researchdesignconnections.com), Sally has written widely on science-based design for
a broad audience of people interested in the designed world. Her Research Design Connections blog is read by thousands of individuals
each month.
Dr. Augustin, who is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, holds leadership positions in professional organizations such as the
American Psychological Association (past-president, environmental psychology division), the International Association of Applied Psychology (environmental psychology division), and the Environmental Design Research Association (chair, work environments network).
Sally has discussed using design to enhance lives on mass-market national radio programs. She speaks frequently to audiences in North
America, Europe, and Asia at events such as the annual meeting of the American Institute of Architects, the International Design & Emotion

Tecniche di composizione psicomusicale nella riabilitazione.

Techniques of psychomusical composition in the rehabilitation
Nato ad Aosta, musicista, studioso e didatta riconosciuto dalla critica internazionale.
Docente al Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G. VERDI” di Milano e già docente di “Studio della strumentazione applicata alla partitura” nel Corso di Laurea
Magistrale in Musicologia dell'Università Statale di Milano.
Tra i molteplici riconoscimenti, nel 1994 è stato insignito del titolo di “Grand Officier de l’Ordre Mondiale de la Science Musicale” di Gine-vra. Già ideatore e
promotore di importanti rassegne musicali e culturali quali “AOSTA CLASSICA VIVA” e della Stagione Concertistica “ENVIE DE MUSIQUE” di Friburgo (Svizzera), è il direttore musicale dell’Orchestra sinfonica “I SOLISTI EUROPEI - ISE-AIAC”.
La composizione lo vede impegnato sia nella produzione della musica da camera, corale, sinfonica e operistica sia nella ricerca etnomusico-logica. E’ inoltre
attivo come ricercatore nel laboratorio di World Music fondato dal Prof. Fernando Antonelli per il Conservatorio di musica "G. Verdi" di Milano. È docente e
direttore della “Verdi World Music Pop Symphony Orchestra” del Conservatorio Statale di Musica G. Verdi di Milano.
Il catalogo delle sue composizioni enumera oltre cento opere, molte delle quali sono state eseguite in importanti contesti musicali varie volte in Italia, Germania, Svizzera, Brasile, Australia e alcune di queste sono stati prodotte in radio e televisioni, media e supporti meccanici quali dischi, nastri musica, CD e
video.Tra di loro: "La boite magique", sette quadri per mimo e pianoforte, una produzione televisiva per la RAI italiana eseguita nel 1981 e diretta da Sandro
Merli e l'Opera "Roxane de la Nuit", opera in quattro atti, su libretto di Jean Osiris, medaglia d'oro per il bicentenario dell'Austra-lia – Melbourne, Australia,
26 agosto 1988.
Impegnato nel sociale e nei programmi FSE dell’Unione Europea, è Direttore del Laboratorio di ricerca e composizione psicomusicale dell’Istituto IRP-AIAC.

Born in Aosta, musician, scholar and teacher recognized by international criticism. Professor at the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G. VERDI" of Milan, he
has been Professor of "study of the instrumentation applied to the score" in the course of Musicology at the University of Milan.
Among the many awards, in 1994 he was awarded the title of "Grand Officier de l'Ordre Mondiale de la Science ".
Already the creator and promoter of important musical and cultural festivals such as "AOSTA CLASSICA VIVA" and the concert season "ENVIE DE MUSIQUE" of
Freiburg (Switzerland), he is the Music Director of the Symphonic Orchestra "I Solisti Europei-ISE-AIAC".
He is engaged both in the composition of Chamber music, choral, symphonic and Opera music both in research. He is active as a research-er in the laboratory
of World Music founded by Prof. Fernando Antonelli for the Music Conservatory "G. Verdi" of Milan. In the same Con-servatory he is Professor and Director
of the “Verdi World Music Pop Symphony Orchestra”.
The catalogue of his compositions lists over a hundred works many of which have been performed in important musical contexts several times in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Australia and some of these were produced with radio and television media and mechanical media such as disks, tapes music, CDs
and videos.
Among them: "La boite magique", seven paintings for mimo and piano, a TELEVISION production for the ITALIAN RAI performed in 1981 and directed by Sandro
Merli, and the Opera "Roxane de la Nuit", opera in four acts, libretto by Jean Osiris, gold medal for the bicentenary of Australia – Melbourne, Australia, August
26, 1988. Engaged in social and ESF programs of the European Union, he is Director of the la-boratory of musical composition and psychomusical research of
the IRP Institute.

Sound Technology: new approaches of research in psychomusical composition
Diplomatosi in Contrabbasso presso il Conservatorio di Lecce, prosegue il perfezionamento conseguendo il Biennio Accademico di II Livello
in Discipline Musicali – Contrabbasso e Musica da Camera con il M. Presicci.
Frequenta corsi di perfezionamento solistico-cameristico ad Atlanta, Lione, Madrid, Roma, Bologna, Lanciano, Orvieto, Monopoli, Savona,
per citarne solo alcuni, dove consegue diplomi di merito ed esegue concerti in Italia e all’Estero.
Ha ricoperto il ruolo di Primo Contrabbasso e Contrabbasso di Fila sotto la direzione dei maestri: Quarta, Agiman, Renzetti, Zuccarini, Florio, Rovaris, Andreoli, Mariozzi, Kantarov, Bacalov, collaborando come stabile o aggiunto in diverse orchestre Nazionali e Internazionali.
Prima e durante gli studi accademici classici ha svolto e continua a svolgere un intensa attività jazzistica e non solo, avendo preso parte a
progetti di musica balcanica, cubana, etnica, world music, musica d’autore, musica leggera e tradizionale salentina, in formazioni che vanno
dal duo alla big-band.
Per approfondire anche questo aspetto artistico che da sempre gli appartiene, consegue il Diploma in Musica Jazz presso il Conservatorio di
Alessandria con il M. Bonafede.
Nel 2011, dopo l’incontro e il breve percorso di studio con il Dott. Bole presso l’Università della Georgia ad Atlanta, titolare presso la medesima università della cattedra di Musica Elettronica, si appassiona alla ricerca sul suono e allo studio della Musica Elettronica e della Composizione Acusmatica, finalizzando tale percorso diplomandosi brillantemente a pieni voti in Musica Elettronica presso il Conservatorio di
Parma con il M. J.T Maldonado.
Anche se da poco produce in tale settore, alcune sue composizioni sono risultate classificate in concorsi nazionali di Musica Elettronica.
Vincitore di un Assegno di Ricerca finanziato della Regione Piemonte, attualmente ricopre il ruolo di assistente alla cattedra di Contrabbasso e titolare del Corso di Propedeutica all’Orchestra presso il conservatorio “A. Vivaldi” di Alessandria ed è docente di Contrabbasso e
Tecnologie Musicali presso il Liceo Musicale di Aosta.
Ha eseguito concerti in Francia, Spagna, Svizzera, Belgio, Germania, Grecia, Albania, Olanda, Svezia, Marocco, Cina, Russia, Giappone, Stati
Uniti.
After his Bass graduation from the music Conservatory in Lecce, he has pursued the specialization obtaining the Academic Level II diploma
in Music Performer - Double Bass and Chamber Music with L. Presicci.
He has attended master classes solo-chamber in Atlanta, Lyon, Madrid, Rome, Bologna, Lanciano, Orvieto, Monopoli, Savona obtaining
merit diploma, and has performed concerts in Italy and abroad. He has worked as First Bass and Bass in orchestra under the direction of
teachers : Quarta, Agiman, Renzetti, Zuccarini, Florio, Rovaris, Andreoli, Mariozzi, Kantarov, Bacalov, collaborating with various National
and International Orchestras. Before and during his classic academic studies he has been involved, and is still involved, in an intense jazz activity and not only, having taken part in projects of Balkan music, Cuban Music, World Music, Pop Music and Traditional Salento Pizzica
Music, in several groups from duos to big bands.
In order to go deep into this aspect of art which has always belonged to him, he graduates in Jazz Music at the Conservatory of Alessandria
with L. Bonafede. In 2011, after the meeting and the short course of study with Dr. Bole at the University of Georgia in Atlanta, Master
Professor of electronic music at the same university, he gets passionate for sound research and for the study of Electronic Music Composition and Acusmatica, and finally brilliantly graduates with honors in Electronic Music at the Conservatory of Parma with the J. T. Maldonado.
Although He only recently composes in this area, some of his compositions have been classified in national competitions of electronic music.
Winner of a scholarship funded by the Piedmont Region, he is currently assistant teacher in Bass Class and holder of the Bachelor course of
Preparatory Orchestra at the Conservatory " A. Vivaldi "in Alessandria. He is also Professor of Double Bass and Music Technology at the
Liceo Musicale of Aosta.

Architetto, laureata al Politecnico di Torino facoltà di architettura.
Specializzata all’Università degli Studi di Genova in Architettura Assetto e Progettazione del Paesaggio, specializzata in Restauro dei Giardini Storici alla Facoltà di Architettura dell’Università di Versailles (D.E.A.A. Parigi), specializzata in Restauro e
manutenzione dei Giardini Storici a Firenze e a Madrid.
Ha collaborato con il Ministero della Cultura francese per il restauro del parterre del Castello di Chambord (Loira, Francia).
Attiva nelle docenze e nella progettazione In Italia e in Grecia, è membro del Comitato scientifico dell’Istituto IRP.
Architect, she graduated at the faculty of architecture of the “Politecnico di Torino”.
She specialized in Architecture and landscape design at the University of Genova, Restoration of historic gardens at the Faculty of architecture of the University of Versailles (Paris D.E.A.A.), Restoration and maintenance of historic gardens in Florence and Madrid.
She collaborated with the French Ministry of culture for the restoration of the “parterre du Château de Chambord” (Loire
Valley, France).
Active in teaching and design In Italy and Greece, she is member of the Scientific Committee of the IRP Institute.
Kurt Hostettmann

Botanica, farmacognosia e fitochimica: il valore delle piante
Botany, pharmacognosy and phytochemistry: the value of plants
Kurt Hostettmann ha studiato chimica all'Università di Neuchâtel, Svizzera, e ha conseguito il dottorato presso la stessa Università.
Data la sua passione per le piante, ha continuato gli studi alla Columbia University di New York. Ha lavorato presso l'ETH di Zurigo, allo
stesso tempo ha insegnato presso l'Università di Neuchâtel e Friburgo. Dal 1981, è professore ordinario presso l'Università di Losanna, Svizzera, e direttore dell'Istituto di Farmacognosia e fitochimica. Il suo insegnamento è rivolto agli studenti di farmacia, presso l'Università di
Losanna e l'Università di Ginevra. Nel 2004, il suo Istituto è stato trasferito all'Università di Ginevra. I suoi interessi di ricerca includono i
principi attivi delle piante utilizzate nella medicina tradizionale e il controllo di qualità delle piante officinali e delle fitomedicine.
È autore di oltre 450 pubblicazioni scientifiche e una dozzina di libri, uno dei quali è stato tradotto in giapponese, cinese, indonesiano e
spagnolo. Inoltre ha pubblicato quattro libri destinati a un pubblico più vasto ed è apparso in numerose interviste radiofoniche e televisive.
Il professor Hostettmann ha ricevuto parecchi riconoscimenti internazionali, tra cui il premio del titolo di professore onorario all'Accademia
cinese delle scienze a Shanghai nel giugno 2002, il titolo di dottore Honoris Causa presso l'Università di Tolosa in Francia nel 2003, il titolo
di professore onorario presso l'Università di Panama nel dicembre 2003 e dal febbraio 2005, il titolo di professore onorario all'Università di
Jinan di Shandong in Cina. Nel dicembre 2005, il professor Hostettmann è stato eletto membro straniero dell'Accademia Nazionale di farmacia di Parigi. Il Prof.Hostettmann ha ricevuto il premio più prestigioso della Società europea di fitochimica, la medaglia del PSE, nell'aprile 2007.
Kurt Hostettmann studied chemistry at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland and was awarded his PhD at the same University. With a
passion for plants, he continued his studies at Columbia University of New York. He was then given a post at the ETH in Zürich, at the same

time teaching at the Universities of Neuchâtel and Fribourg. Since 1981, he has been a full professor at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and director of the Institute of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry. His teaching duties are directed at pharmacy students, both at
the University of Lausanne and the University of Geneva. In 2004, his institute was transferred to the University of Geneva. His research
interests include the active principles of plants used in traditional medicine and the quality control of medicinal plants and phytomedicines.
He is author of more than 450 scientific publications and a dozen books, one of which has been translated into Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Spanish. He has also published four books destined for a larger public and has appeared in numerous television and radio interviews.
Professor Hostettmann has received several international distinctions, including the award of the title of Honorary Professor at the Chinese
Academy of Sciences in Shanghai in June 2002, the title of Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Toulouse in France in 2003, the title of
Honorary Professor at the University of Panama in December 2003 and since February 2005, the title of Honorary Professor at Shandong
University of Jinan in China. In December 2005, Prof. Hostettmann was elected foreign corresponding member of the National Academy of
Pharmacy of Paris. Prof. Hostettmann received the most prestigious award of the Phytochemical Society of Europe, the PSE Medal, in April
2007.

Words and music as sound languages
Alessandra Padula è diplomata in pianoforte, clavicembalo, musica da camera e accompagnamento pianistico, e laureata in lingue e letterature straniere. Ha seguito corsi di programmazione neuro-linguistica in Italia e Francia, acquisendo il titolo di Advanced Master. Tiene
spesso relazioni in convegni internazionali in Italia e all’estero, e pubblica articoli e saggi su riviste accademiche in Europa e Australia. Ha
collaborato a numerose enciclopedie pubblicate negli Stati Uniti. I suoi libri sulla musicoterapia sono spesso usati come testi in Università e
Conservatori: tra essi si ricordano Il ruolo della musica nella gestione delle emozioni (2010), Comunicazione sonora e musicoterapia (2008),

Alessandra Padula earned degrees in piano, harpsichord, chamber music, piano accompaniment and foreign languages. She earned also an
advanced master in neuro-linguistic programming techniques after studying in Italy and France. She made several presentations in International conferences in Italy and abroad, and published many papers in academic journals in Europe and Australia. Moreover she wrote many
entries for International encyclopedias published in the USA. Her books on music therapy are frequently used as textbooks in Universities
and Conservatories: among them are Il ruolo della musica nella gestione delle emozioni (2010), Comunicazione sonora e musicoterapia
(2008), Musicoterapia e psicomotricità (2000), Musica contro il disagio (2000). From 1999 to 2013 she taught Music Education, Music theory and Music therapy at the University of L’Aquila. Now she teaches piano performance at the Conservatory of Milan.

The movement as a psychosensory tool
Inizia lo studio della danza Classica presso l’Institut de Danse Classique di Mireille Roche (AO) e prosegue a Torino sotto la direzione di Dragica Zach.
Lavora come ballerina per la compagnia teatrale Groupe Approches di Aosta (1992-1993) e per la Compagnia Torino Spettacoli (1993-1995).
Nel 1994 vince in primo premio al concorso per artisti dello spettacolo - Teatro Alfieri Torino.
Nel 1996 si trasferisce negli Stati Uniti dove ottiene la Full Scholarship in danza Classica presso la Steps on Broadway di Manhattan e lì studia danza classica con Wilhelm Burmann, Peff Modelski e Alexander Tressor, la Rommett Floor-Barre ™ con Zena Rommett e moderno con
Milton Myers.
Segue come assistente i corsi della Children Division all’Alvin Ayley - 1996, nel 1998 è la prima italiana a certificarsi per l’insegnamento della
Zena Rommett Floor Barre TC e da allora mantiene una collaborazione attiva con la Zena Rommett Dance Foundation.
Insegna classico e repertorio per il Greater Mansfiled Council for the Arts – 1998/99 e nel 1999 cura per essi l’adattamento coreografico
della Bella Addormentata. Iscritta nel 1997 alla University of Connecticut, consegue il Master of Arts con una tesi sulla funzione politica e
sociale della danza barocca di Filippo d’Agliè.
Pubblica per la rivista di danza Chorégraphie, un articolo sulla Rommett Floor Barre TC—1999.
Al ritorno in Italia collabora con l’associazione Arké di Torino alla ricostruzione storica del Tabacco di D’Agliè per lo spettacolo ZeroSmoke—
2003- e prosegue l’attività come danzatrice libera professionista ed insegnante di danza.
Dal 2010 inizia la collaborazione con l’Institut de Danse du Val d’Aoste, associazione culturale della quale è presidente e che si occupa sia
della formazione nella danza classica, moderna, contemporanea, hip-hop e afro-brasiliana che della promozione di dibattiti, incontri, laboratori specifici e masters sulle tematiche della danza. Ha promosso e partecipato attivamente al percorso di alta formazione sul teatrodanza condotto da Marigia Maggipinto, membro dal 1989 al 1999 della compagnia di Pina Bausch. Il percorso si è concluso presso le Officine Caos-Stalker Teatro con la residenza e la messa in scena dello spettacolo “We’ll see…” che ha aperto con successo la stagione 2014.
Da diversi anni, inoltre, si dedica alla Danza Movimento Terapia.

She began studying classical dance at the Institut de Danse Classique Mireille Roche ( AO) and continues in Turin under the direction of
Dragica Zach .
She works as a dancer for the theater company Groupe Approches Aosta (1992-1993) and the Compagnia Torino Spettacoli ( 1993-1995).
In 1994 she won the first prize in the competition for performing artists (actors, singers and dancers) at theTeatro Alfieri in Turin.
In 1996 she moved to the United States where she obtained a Full Scholarship in Ballet dance at Steps on Broadway-NYC. There she studied
ballet with Wilhelm Burmann, Peff Modelski and Alexander Tressor, theRommett Floor -Barre ™ with Zena Rommett and modern with Milton Myers.
She was teacher assistant at the Alvin Ayley Children Division - 1996, and became the first Italian to be certified for teaching Zena Rommett
Floor Barre TC in 1998, since then she keeps on working and actively collaborate with the Zena Rommett Dance Foundation.
She taught at the Greater Mansfiled Council for the Arts-CT- ballet and repertoire from 1998 to 1999 and in 1999 was the ballet mistress
for their Sleeping Beauty production.
She entered the MA program at University of Connecticut as a part time teacher assistant in fall 1997, and she graduated with Honors with
a thesis on social and political uses of Baroque dance in the works of Filippo D’Agliè.
She published an article on the Rommett Floor BarreTC- 1999 for the Dance Journal Chorégraphie.

Upon her return to Italy she collaborates with Arké, Turin, to the historical reconstruction of the Tobacco D' Agliè for their production of
Zerosmoke -2003- and continues to work as a freelance dancer and teacher.
Since 2010 she began to collaborate with the Institut de Danse du Val d'Aoste, and in 2011 began the president of this Cultural Association
that promotes training in classical ballet , modern, contemporary, hip-hop and Afro-Brazilian, as well as debates, performances, workshops,
masters etc on dance related topics.
She promoted and actively participated to a 2 years long program on Tanztheatre, with Marigia Maggipinto as leading teacher, a former
member of the company of Pina Bausch. The program ended with a residency at the Officine Caos-Stalker Theatre of Turin and the opening
of their season in January 2014. She dedicates herself to dance movement therapy.


Il Master fornirà gli strumenti per esaminare come gli approcci multidisciplinari alla riabilitazione cognitiva, attraverso lo studio di materiali e ambienti naturali e artificiali, può essere elemento nella cura e nella riabilitazione del
bambino e dell’adulto.

The master will provide an opportunity to examine how multidisciplinary approaches to the cognitive rehabilitation
through the study of natural and artificial environments and materials can support healthy children and adults in
their cognitive rehabilitation.

Il Master è rivolto a professionisti della sanità, del sociale, insegnanti, musicisti, architetti e altri professionisti della
salute mentale, del sociale, del settore educativo.

Appropriate for healthcare professionals, social workers, teachers, musicians, architects, and other professionals in
mental health, social service and education fields.

