Martedì 10 febbraio ore 16:00 Aula Seminari – Dipartimento di Matematica HYSTERESIS AND CONTROL ABSTRACT: Martin Brokate (TUM - Monaco) In the first part of this talk, we present problems related to the control of dynamical systems with hysteresis, in form of an overview. They include tracking with a PID controller as well as various aspects of optimal control problems. In the second part, we concentrate on the specific question whether scalar hysteresis operators possess generalized derivatives, in order to obtain a tool for the optimization of systems with hysteresis.
