Together with Signora Francesca Bortolotto Possati, it is my pleasure to invite you to the BAUER HOTEL,
Venice for the presentation of my book, The Garden of Eden, on 12 March 2014 at 17.30. On this occasion it
will be my pleasure to tell you something about how the book came into being.
The giardino Eden on the Giudecca is a well-known garden in Venice, even though it is completely closed to
the public. In May 2012 I was delighted, when the Hundertwasser Foundation in Vienna granted me exclusive
admission to the garden to take photos.
With the help of Mimmo Fabrizi’s wonderful photos, I have tried to capture the
atmosphere of this very special place and to
tell the story of the famous garden from its
time as a monastery garden right up until
the death of the Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, in 2000.
Signora Francesca Bortolotto Possati has
been so very generous as to provide the
premises of the BAUER HOTEL for the
presentation.

Insieme con la signora Francesca Bortolotto Possati, ho piacere di invitarLa all’ Hotel Bauer di Venezia per la
presentazione del mio libro, Il Giardino di Eden, il 12 Marzo 2014 alle ore 17.30. Sarò lieta di raccontare qualcosa su come questo libro è venuto alla luce.
Il giardino Eden alla Giudecca è molto conosciuto a Venezia, anche se inaccessibile al pubblico. Quando nel
maggio 2012 la Fondazione Hundertwasser wasser di Vienna mi ha permesso l’accesso al giardino in via esclusiva per poter scattare delle foto, sono rimasta affascinata.
Grazie alle fantastiche fotografie di Mimmo Fabrizi, ho cercato di cogliere l’atmosfera di questo luogo davvero
speciale e di raccontarne la storia, dalle sue origini come giardino di un monastero fino alla morte del’artista
austriaco Friedensreich Hundertwasser, nel 2000.
