Blu is back and this time he has the whole family with him in Rio 2 (2014). After surviving being kidnapped and learning how to fly in his original Brazilian adventure in Rio (2011), Blu and Jewel are now happily raising three kids of their own among the hustle and bustle of the city. Deciding it’s time to see more of the world than Rio de Janeiro, the family head to the wilds of the Amazon to try and find other macaws just like them. But Blu isn’t used to nature and struggles to fit into his new surroundings – of course, making matters worse is the prospect of dealing with his father-in-law. However family dramas are just some of the obstacles Blu will have to face if he is going to survive in the wild, especially when old enemy Nigel resurfaces.
