出だしの「Vanilla ice-cream with∼」にヒップホップを、短くてキャッチーな曲調に Ramones を感じ、ラウドでパン
キッシュなブレイクビーツリミックスに仕立てました。
フラれた女の子同士が「あんな男のことなんか忘れちゃいなよ」って言い合っている姿（それもヤケクソで）を思い
浮かべながら作りました。リミックスする時は歌詞にもインスピレーションを受けます。
僕はダンスミュージックと同じくらいロックミュージックやギターを弾くことが好きです。その部分を、ポップさや
キュートさを残しながらダンスミュージックに織り込むのは結構難しいのですが、このリミックスでは上手にできた
と思います。

鍵盤による和音ではなく、単音の組み合わせでハーモニーを構成しました。音数を減らして、歌の暖かい感じを大事
にしたリミックスです。

音数を削り込んだシンプルな 2Step。

前半はシンプルでタイトに、後半はメロウに手が上がっていく感じにしました。後半は 3 連符 4 つ打ちの盆踊りハウ
ス的なリズムにしました。

イントロ∼ヴァース∼2nd ヴァース∼コーラス∼間奏…という構成が、日本のポップソング的で、自分が作りそうな曲
調だというのが、この曲を聴いた第一印象。そこに親近感を覚えリミックスすることにしました。
Clover サウンドをウチのお店の皿に盛り直すというか、原曲のいなたい生楽器音色を、タイトな打ち込み音色に変換す
る。そんなイメージで作業を進めました。なのでコード進行や曲構成、要所の楽器フレーズは意図的に原曲のものを踏
襲してあります

Our Little Secret (microdub)
目指したのは、デスクトップのバンドサウンドです。静岡のサウスコースト、登呂のスタジオにて自分で叩いたあと
編集したドラム以外は、全部ソフトシンセの打ち込みのシュミレーションです。

電子音を前面に出した浮遊感のあるエレクトロニカ。

Clover との交流が始まったきっかけのリミックス。既に何回か Revision されており、最新版を今回も収録しました。

僕の名前は斎藤知康です。
日本の北の方角にある札幌市で暮らしています。一年のほぼ半分は雪に囲まれると
ても寒い街です。
音楽家としての僕のキャリアは、mini kyute（ミニ・キュート）というエレクトロ
ポップユニットのメンバーとして 1998 年にスタートしました。ふわふわしたウィ
スパーボイスが特徴の女性ボーカリストを主軸とした、ポップソングを得意とする
このユニットで、主に作曲とサウンドメイクを担当していました。アルバム
『Souvenir』のリリースを最後に、現在は活動休止中です。そして、2012 年から
Airlove(エアラヴ）という名前でソロ活動を開始しました。
soundandlife. からリリースされた mini kyute のリミックス集『 mini kyute
soundandlife. rmx』にリミキサーとして参加したり、他のシンガーへの楽曲提供を
しつつ、オリジナルアルバムの制作を進めています。
古典的なポップソングと最新型のダンスミュージックを Airlove スタイルで調合す
べく、日々実験を繰り返しています。この EP でその成果の一端を感じてもらえた
らとても嬉しいです。

『Chapsa Song』
調子はずれのギターとベースがとても心地よいです。Sonic Youth に影響を受けた幼稚園児が奏でるサウンドはこん
な感じかも。
『Our Little Secret』のようなポップチューンとこの曲の両方をレパートリーとして持っているところに、
Clover の音楽性の幅広さを感じます。
『Hershey's Kisses』
アルバムの締めくくりにぴったりの曲ですね。終わりの余韻がありつつ、ある種の前向きさを感じさせるところが、
就寝前のひとときにも似て。1 曲目の『Tania in a car』からまた聴きたくなります。
楽曲同様、物語を感じさせるアルバムジャケットがとても好きです。女の子たちが見つめる海の彼方には何があるの
でしょう？みんなが同じものを見ているのか、それぞれ違う場所なのか。
そんな青春のクロスロードを勝手に想像したりして、胸がキュンとしてしまいます。
制作環境について
Studio tour
Studio-mini（スタジオ・ミニ）と呼んでいます。ボーカル録音は外
部スタジオで行う場合もあるのですが、
今回のリミックスは全てここで制作しました。
機材へのこだわりはこれと言ってありません。ただ、自分の頭と身
体のなかにあるイメージを、そのまま音に変換できるよう、音に色
づけの少ない、スタンダードなものを選ぶよう心がけています。
また、音作りが視覚に左右されるのを避けるため、家具も機材もプ
レーンなデザインで、色も白、黒、シルバー、ナチュラルに限定し
ています。
それから、思いついたアイデアを素早く形にするため、セッティン
グや配線を極力せずに済むようにしています。ハードウェアシンセ
は使用せず、ギター類は全てライン録音。マイクを使うのはボーカ
ル録音時のみ。基本的に、作曲からマスタリングまでの全行程を MacBook の中で完結させています。
機材は徐々に減らして、曲作りやアレンジそのものに集中できる環境を作っていきたいです。その方が精神衛生良い
ですし、部屋掃除が楽です。それでは最後に機材リストを。

DELUXE』に 8 bit darling (hi-channel! meets 初音ミク Re-mix) が収録されデ
ビュー。
2010 年 soundandlife.に所属。1st シングル『8 月の太陽』をリリース。
2011 年 soundandlife.のリミキサーとして片っ端からリミックスをリリース。
2012 年 microtone＋the band に DJ 奏者として加入。
邦楽/洋楽の Bootleg や Edit を soundcloud で突如発表する活動はライフワーク。

Hip Hop のバンドをやっている、microtone です。普段は、会社の
マネジメントをしており、気が向いた時に音楽を作って楽しんで
います。しかしながら、もう 20 年くらい音楽作りをしているので、
それを趣味というにはちょっと長過ぎますね。
Clover のどの曲が好き？ Which is your favorite Clover s tune?
全部、です。特に、Tania in a car がダントツでかっこいい。この
曲は、abcdefg*record が発行する Merci Magazine で知って、
Myspace 経由で Clover に『リミックスしていい？』ってコンタク
トしました。
制作環境について
Studio tour
私の音楽作りは、皆さんと同じで全て Ableton Live で完結し
ています。曲作りに使う機材は、MacbookPro と、PCR-300、
UA-55 の 3 つだけです。あとはライブの資料作りや仕事で
Microsoft Office をよく使うかな。
日本は狭いので、音楽を創る場所も狭くてコンパクトなのが
良いと思います！コンニチハ！

I finished this remix as break beats remix, with hip hop feeling in the intro Vanilla ice cream with
and short +
punky loud one in the all over the song. I had an inspiration from the lyric; dumped desperate girls are chatting each
other. I love playing guitar as same as making dance music. I d like to express that point with pop feeling and
cuteness. It s very difficult though I made it better.

I made the harmony by stacking single notes rather than by keyboad chord.
more vocal s warmness.

A simple 2 step sound without extra notes.

The intro part is so tight, after the break is mellow and you d raise your hands with 3/4 time kicks just like as
Japanese Bon Dance.

I made this remix with the first impression of this song which is like a well-structured Japanese common one. I think
that I always make a basic structured song which is having Intro ‒ Verse ‒ 2nd Verse ‒ Chorus ‒ Interlude… I usually
think that I should remake the ordinal song with another dish of my restaurant. So I didn t change the chord
progression, structure, phrases etc. of the ordinal one.

This remix consists of band simulated sound by Ableton Live s soft synth except drum sounds which I recorded by
myself in a studio of south coast of Shizuoka city, and edited them.

Hi, my name is Tomoyasu Saito from North side of Japan, Sapporo. It s always
heavy snow in almost half of a year and very cold there. I started my career of
music as a producer of minikute which is playing electronic pop with whisper
voice by female vocalist. The group is now stopping the activity after released
1st album Souvenir . From 2012, I started a new activity as solo musician
named Airlove . I m just producing my new album while doing another
project for mini kyute soundandlife.rmx and writing songs to another singer.
I m trying my best to fusion old fashion pop song and newest dance tune in the
activities as Airlove. I m very happy you feel my trial even if only a little.
Which is your favorite Clover s tune?
『Chapsa Song』
I love guitar and bass which is a little bit out of tune. A kindergartener who is
influenced from Sonic Youth would play like this. I think Clover s wide ranged
sense makes it possible to play both this punky sound and pop tune just like Our Little Secret .
『Hershey's Kisses』
It suit for bedtime. A trailing note makes me feel something positive. I feel like to rewind to listen to Tania in a car .
I love the art work for this album. Imagine what would be there over the sea the girls are gazing? Are they looking for
the same place or different each? I m just moving with imagination like this. I guess this is the all about youth.
Studio tour
I call this studio Studio-mini . I produce all of my remix works here. I don t care which machines I use to produce
very much. I love to use standard one which makes my imagination bring the sounds directly. Also I like plain
furniture to feel ease to produce sounds. Less setting for microphone and guitar would be necessary to create sounds
quickly from a bright idea only by my MacBook ; No hardware synth, only line recordings for guitar, microphone just
for vocals. I would like to concentrate to make sounds with fewer machines, more comfortable, easier to clean up my
room. Let s have a look at my machine list…

Hi, My name is Miya. A member of microtone hip hop band. I m
just running my company as manager in Japan and Thailand. I
make music just to enjoy myself only when I d have enough time.
I ve been a kind of musician for 20 years; it s so long to say this is
just my hobby, isn t it?
Which is your favorite Clover s tune?
I love all of the song and Tania in a car is best. I ve seen Tania in
Indonesia actually! I ve met this song in P+M magazine from
abcdefg*record. I just contacted to Clover via Myspace at that
moment to ask their vocal data for remix.

All I use is Ableton Live with MacBook only. This is the best.
And I use Roland PCR-300 keyboad, UA-55 audio device.
Oops, I also love Microsoft office to manage our document
like this!
In Japan, many musicians have less room for making music.
So we need symple system to compose music I think.
