Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) is the
oldest and largest foreign university in Japan,
established in Tokyo in 1982. It is one of the overseas
campuses of Temple University, which was founded in
1884 and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science
and Technology recognized TUJ as the country’s first
Foreign University, Japan Campus in 2005. Students
come from approximately 60 different countries.
At TUJ, you can:
Earn an American university doctorate, master's, bachelor's or
associate degree without leaving Japan
● Benefit from the same curriculum the Main Campus follows
● Choose from seven programs taught in English
● Transfer to a Japanese university and attend graduate school in Japan
● Earn credits at Main Campus or, depending on your program, at
Temple University Rome or other global partnership programs
