このたびは、『ATLAS 専門辞書（技術・ビジネス・医学）V14.0』をお買い上げいただきありがとう
ございます。
本製品は、翻訳品質の向上を実現する分野別の専門用語辞書です。「ATLAS 翻訳スタンダード
V14.0」以降、「ATLAS 翻訳ダブルパック V4.0」以降、｢ ATLAS EJ V3.0 ｣以降、｢ ATLAS JE
V3.0 ｣以降、｢ ATLAS 翻訳パーソナル V1.0 ｣以降でお使いいただけます。
本書では、本製品のインストール方法とアンインストール方法について説明します。

インストール（日本語版）
『ATLAS 専門辞書』を使用するパソコンの条件と、インストール方法について説明します。
必要なハードディスク容量と対応 OS
■ ハードディスクの容量
インストール先のハードディスクには、辞書の種類に応じて以下の空き容量が必要です。

『ATLAS 専門辞書』をインストールする
『ATLAS 専門辞書』をインストールします。『ATLAS 専門辞書』をグレードアップする場
合は、
「グレードアップキットを使って『ATLAS 専門辞書』をインストールする（⇒
P.6）」をご覧ください。
⇒ 管理者（Administrator）ユーザでログインしてから、インストールを行ってください。
※あらかじめ、本製品に同梱されている CD-ROM（日本語版）を用意してください。
1 『ATLAS 専門辞書』の CD-ROM（日本語版）をパソコンにセットします。
Windows Vista で［ユーザーアカウント制御］ダイアログが表示された場合は、
［続
行］をクリックしてください。
2 [ 次へ ] ボタンをクリックします。
⇒ インストールプログラムが自動的に起動しない場合は、エクスプローラで CD-ROM の
setup.exe をダブルクリックするなどして、直接起動してください。
⇒ 古いバージョンの ATLAS 専門用語辞書がインストールされている場合、古いバージョンの
ATLAS 専門用語辞書をアンインストールするかどうかのメッセージが表示されます。
ATLAS V14 の専門用語辞書をインストールする場合、古いバージョンの ATLAS 専門用
語辞書を必ずアンインストールしてください。古いバージョンをアンインストールしないと
ATLAS V14 の専門用語辞書はインストールできません。

3 表示された内容をよくお読みになり［使用許諾契約の条項に同意します］を
選択して、
［次へ］ボタンをクリックします。
4 ユーザ情報とシリアル番号を入力し、［次へ］ボタンをクリックします。
すでに別の分野の専門用語辞書がインストールされている場合、ユーザ名・所属は変
更できません。すでにある辞書と同じになります。
5 インストール内容を設定し、[ 次へ ] ボタンをクリックします。
すでに別の分野の専門用語辞書がインストールされている場合、プログラムのインス
トール先は変更できません。すでにある辞書と同じになります。

` インストールしない辞書がある場合は、
をクリックして、｢この機能を使用で
きないようにします。｣を選択します。
` Windows が C ドライブにインストールされている場合は、インストール先として
｢ C:￥Program Files￥ATLAS V14 ｣と表示されます。
インストール先を変更する場合は、[ 変更 ] ボタンをクリックしてインストール先を
変更します。このとき、インストール先のフォルダが存在しない場合は、新しくフォ
ルダが作成されます。
6 内容を確認して、[ インストール ] ボタンをクリックします。
` 設定内容を変更する場合は、[ 戻る ] ボタンをクリックして、設定し直してください。
` インストール中に、インストールを中止したい場合は、経過表示画面の [ キャンセル ]
ボタンをクリックします。この場合、それまでにコピーしたファイルは削除されます。
インストールが終了すると、インストールの完了画面が表示されます。
7 [ 完了 ] ボタンをクリックします。
これで、インストールが終了です。

グレードアップキットを使って『ATLAS 専門辞書』を
インストールする
『ATLAS 専門辞書』をグレードアップします。グレードアップ対象製品の古いバージョン
がパソコンにインストールされていない場合、必ず古いバージョンの CD-ROM を用意し
てください。
⇒ 管理者（Administrator）ユーザでログインしてから、インストールを行ってください。
※次の CD-ROM を用意します。
● 本製品に同梱されているグレードアップ CD-ROM（日本語版）
● 古いバージョンの CD-ROM（古いバージョンがインストールされていない場合）
1 『ATLAS 専門辞書』のグレードアップ CD-ROM（日本語版）をパソコンに
セットします。
Windows Vista で［ユーザーアカウント制御］ダイアログが表示された場合は、
［続
行］をクリックしてください。
2 お使いのパソコンの環境によって、表示される画面が異なります。
以下の画面が表示された場合
古いバージョンの CD-ROM をパソコンにセットして古いバージョンの検索を行う必要
があります。
操作 3. に進みます。
以下の画面が表示された場合
古いバージョンの検索は不要です。
操作 4. に進みます。

⇒ インストールプログラムが自動的に起動しない場合は、エクスプローラで CD-ROM の

ATLAS V14 の専門用語辞書をインストールする場合、古いバージョンの ATLAS 専門用
語辞書を必ずアンインストールしてください。古いバージョンをアンインストールしないと
ATLAS V14 の専門用語辞書はインストールできません。
3 以下の操作を行って、古いバージョンの検索を行います。
1. グレードアップ CD-ROM を取り出し、古いバージョンの CD-ROM をセットします。
古いバージョンの CD-ROM をセットすると、操作 2 の画面の背面に、古いバージョ
ンのインストール画面が表示される場合があります。
この場合は、古いバージョンのインストールを中止してください。
2.［検索を開始する］ボタンをクリックします。
「製品媒体による検索」がうまくできない場合は、CD-ROM ドライブ名が正しいかを
確認してください。
正しくない場合は、［参照］ボタンで CD-ROM ドライブを指定してください。
3. 製品検索が終了したら、古いバージョンの CD-ROM を取り出し、グレードアップ
CD-ROM を再度セットします。
操作 2. の画面が表示されたら、［キャンセル］ボタンをクリックしてください。
` 操作３ . の古いバージョンの検索は、「ソフトウェア型名コード」( 製品パッケージや
CD-ROM 面に記載の「Bxxxxxxxx」番号 ) を使っても、次の操作で行えます。
（1）「ソフトウェア型名コードによる検索」をクリックします。
（2）ソフトウェア型名コードを入力します。( 大文字と小文字にご注意ください )
（3） [ 検索を開始する ] ボタンをクリックします。

4 次の画面が表示されたら、[ 次へ ] ボタンをクリックします。
5 表示された内容をよくお読みになり［使用許諾契約の条項に同意します］を

アンインストール
インストールした『ATLAS 専門辞書』が不要になった場合、アンインストールできます。
アンインストールは、インストールされている『ATLAS 専門辞書』をハードディスクから
削除します。
⇒ 管理者（Administrator）ユーザでログインしてから、アンインストールを行ってくださ
い。
1 ［スタート］ボタンをクリックし、［コントロールパネル］、または［設定］か
ら［コントロールパネル］を選択します。
2 ［コントロールパネル］ウィンドウで［アプリケーションの追加と削除］/
［プログラムの追加と削除］アイコンをダブルクリックします。
Windows Vista の場合
•［プログラムのアンインストール］のリンクをクリック（初期設定）
•［プログラムと機能］アイコンをダブルクリック（クラシック表示）
3 一覧から『ATLAS 専門辞書（技術・ビジネス・医学）V14.0』を選択し、
［追加と削除］/［変更と削除］/［削除］/［アンインストール］ボタンをク
リックします。
4 削除の確認メッセージが表示されたら、［はい］ボタンをクリックします。
Windows Vista で［ユーザーアカウント制御］ダイアログが表示された場合は、
［許
可］をクリックしてください。
『ATLAS 専門辞書』が削除されます。

This product enhances the accuracy of translation in various technical fields. It can be used
with ATLAS Translation Double Pack 8.0 or later, ATLAS Translation Standard V14.0 or later.
This manual describes procedures for installing and uninstalling the product.

Installation(English version)
This section describes the requirements for using ATLAS Technical Dictionaries on a PC and
how to install the product.

The English version of ATLAS Technical Dictionaries can be used with the following
Japanese operating systems:
Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2000 SP4.
■ Memory Capacity
In addition to the amount of memory recommended for your OS, a minimum of 0.5 MB of
memory is required per dictionary.

Installing ATLAS Technical Dictionaries
The following instructions explain how to install ATLAS Technical Dictionaries. For
details on how to upgrade ATLAS Technical Dictionaries, refer to " Installing ATLAS
Technical Dictionaries Using the Upgrade Kit" on page 17.
⇒ Before installing ATLAS Technical Dictionaries, log into the system with a user ID with
administrator status.
* The software is on the CD-ROM(English version) supplied with the product.
1 Insert the ATLAS Technical Dictionaries CD-ROM in the PC.
For Windows Vista
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what
you want, and then click [Continue].
2 Click the [Next] button.
⇒ If the install program does not start up automatically, double-click the setup.exe file in
Explorer.
⇒ When an older version of ATLAS Technical Dictionaries is installed, a message is displayed
asking whether or not to uninstall the older version. Note that the old version of ATLAS
Technical Dictionaries must be uninstalled before you can install ATLAS Technical
Dictionaries V14.0.

3 Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click the [Next]
button.
4 Enter user information and serial number, and click the [Next] button.
When technical dictionaries in other fields have been installed, you cannot change the
user name and the organization.
5 Confirm the items you want to install and click the [Next] button.
When technical dictionaries in other fields have been installed, you cannot change the
program install location. The dictionaries will be installed under the same name and in
the same location.

` Click
for dictionaries you do not wish to install and select "This feature will not
be available." from the dropdown menu.
` When Windows is installed on the C drive, "C:\Program Files\ATLAS V14" is displayed
as the install location.To install the dictionaries elsewhere, click the [Change] button
and change the destination. If there is no folder at the destination at this time, a new
one will be created.
6 Before clicking the [Install] button check the items you selected.
` To change an item, click the [Back] button and make the required changes.
` To exit an ongoing install process, click the [Cancel] button displayed in the progress
screen. This action deletes all files copied up to that point.
When the install process is completed, a screen appears informing you that the install
process is completed.
7 Click the [Finish] button.
This completes the install process.

Installing ATLAS Technical Dictionaries Using the
Upgrade Kit
The following instructions explain how to upgrade ATLAS Technical Dictionaries. If
the old version that is to be upgraded is not installed, make sure that you have the
CD-ROM of the old version on hand.
⇒ Before installing ATLAS Technical Dictionaries, log into the system with a user ID with
administrator status.
* The following CD-ROMs are needed for the install process.
● The upgrade CD-ROM (English version) supplied with this product.
● The CD-ROM that contains the old version (when the old version is not installed).
1 Insert the upgrade CD-ROM in the PC.
For Windows Vista
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what
you want, and then click [Continue].
2 The actual screen that appears depends on the environment.
• When the screen shown below is displayed, you must insert the CD-ROM with the old
version to enable a search of the old version.
Go to operation 3.
• When the screen shown below appears, a search for the old version is not required.
Go to operation 4.
⇒ If the install program does not start up automatically, double-click the setup.exe file in
Explorer.
⇒ When an older version of ATLAS Technical Dictionaries is installed, a message is displayed
asking whether or not to uninstall the older version. Note that the old version of ATLAS
Technical Dictionaries must be uninstalled before you can install ATLAS Technical
Dictionaries V14.0.

3 Perform the following steps to enable a search for the old version.
1. Eject the upgrade CD-ROM and insert the CD-ROM with the old version.
When the CD-ROM with the old version is inserted, the install screen for the old
version may appear behind the screen shown in operation 2.
If this happens, exit the install process for the old version.
2. Click the [Start search] button.
If [Search by product format delivery] does not function properly, check if the correct
CD-ROM drive name has been selected.
If not, use the [Browse] button to locate the CD-ROM drive.
3. When the search for the product is completed, eject the CD-ROM with the old
version and insert the upgrade CD-ROM again.
When the screen shown in operation 2 appears, click the [Cancel] button.
` The search for the old version in operation 3 can also be performed using the Product
ID (the Bxxxxxxxx number found on the product package or CD-ROM) as described
below.
(1) Click "Search by Product ID."
(2) Enter the Product ID. Note that the ID is case sensitive.
(3) Click the [Start search] button.

4 Click the [Next] button when the following screen appears.

Uninstall Procedures
You can uninstall ATLAS Technical Dictionaries when you no longer need them. The uninstall
process removes the installed ATLAS Technical Dictionaries from your hard disk.
⇒ Before uninstalling ATLAS Technical Dictionaries, log into the system with a user ID with
administrator status.
1 Click the [Start] button and select [Control Panel] or [Settings] - [Control
Panel].
2 Double click the [Add/Remove Programs] icon in the [Control Panel]
window.
For Windows Vista
• Click the link for [Uninstall or Change a Program] (default setting).
• Double click the [Programs and Features] icon (in classic view).
3 Select "ATLAS Technical Dictionaries V14.0" from the list that appears and
click the [Remove] / [Uninstall] button.
4 Click the [Yes] button when the remove confirmation message appears.
For Windows Vista
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, confirm that the action it displays is what
you want, and then click [Allow].
ATLAS Technical Dictionaries is removed.
