実践方法
1.
生徒は二人一組になる。一方にシート 1,もう一方にシート 2 を配布する。
2. Weather Information（天気相談所）に電話をかけて日本の各地の天気をきくという
設定で，質問応答をする。ペアで交互に質問する役と答える役を演じるようにする。
[例] A: Hello. This is the Weather Information.
B: May I ask something?
A: Sure.
B: How’s the weather in Tokyo today?
A: It’s sunny and later rainy.
（晴れのち雨）
B: I see. Thank you.
3. ペアの情報交換が終わったら，教師が各地の天気を生徒に質問し，答えさせる。
[例] T: S1, how’ s the weather in Osaka today?
S1: It’s cloudy.
ワンポイント
● How’s the weather?という天気をたずねる言い方が自然に使えるように，インフォ
メーションギャップを利用したペアワークにしている。
● sunny, cloudy, rainy の意味を確認するとともに，
「～のち」は later を使うことを
教える。
バリエーション
● その日の新聞の天気予報を使って，各地の天気をたずね合わせてもよい。
