富士山麓の森の中にある淡水魚専門の水族館。周辺環境にとけこむよう、池に浮かぶイメージを追
及した。池と水族館の仕切りにはアクリルを使用し、
自然の水と水槽の境目を楽しめるように考えた。
中央には人が通行できる巨大な２重回遊水槽をおいた。その水槽を通る人があたかも淡水魚ととも
に水中に存在するように見える仕掛けだ。
2 階は逆に森をイメージした空間。リモートコントロールで水槽の船を操縦することにより自由に
水中を観察できる。

YAMANASHI PREFECTURAL FUJI SPRING-FED VILLAGE AQUARIUM
Location: Oshino Village, Yamanashi Prefecture
Completed: June 2001
Though small in scale, this 1,446 m2 fresh water aquarium situated in a forest at the foot of Mt. Fuji in
Yamanashi Prefecture was designed to simulate the experience of floating in a pond, drawing one into
the depths of the lush greenery. One of the aquatic displays features a virtual cross-section of a pond
through a full-height acrylic wall division that allows generous views into the water habitat. Another
aquarium is comprised of an enormous double layered current tank, the center through which the
circulation route passes, giving the visitors an underwater view as though one is swimming among the
fishes. From the forest-like second level, visitors can operate a remote controlled camera that is floated
in this tank, allowing them close observation of the aquatic life.

estate investment firm of the Government of Singapore was designed

これは経営コンサルタント会社の新オフィスとして、
デザインしたものである。東京の中心部は、敷地が限
られており、そのために、高密度、高効率の空間が求
められることがしばしばである。
このオフィスの条件も、そうした厳しいものであった。
独特の幾何学を持つオリジナルの変形ハニカムブース
は、限られた空間に最大限多数の人が働けるように、
私の試行錯誤の末に結論に至った配置である。
In this design of a new office for a management-consulting
柔らかく囲まれた空間は、個々人が仕事に集中するこ
とができると同時に、相互のチームワークも可能にす
る。ブース中央のスリットから漏れる照明は、最小限
のエネルギー、かつ、最小限のスペースによって、手
元を照らすことをめざしたものである。

エントランス部分の障子で囲まれたような空間におい
ては、扉も壁も全て 900mm に規格化し、将来的な
レイアウト変更がしやすいように配慮した。更に、そ
の一枚のガラスパネルを４分割し、会社のロゴや棚、
その他の素材のパネルに簡単に入れ替えられるように
デザインしている。
agency we were faced with severe spatial limitations due to
the restrictive availability in central Tokyo. Our objective
here was to produce spaces of both high density and high
efficiency.
Custom designed for the client, honeycomb booths of
that maximizes the amount of people who could work in
the limited office interior. The gently enclosed work spaces
are conducive to individual project work as well as
interactive teamwork. While conserving energy to the
utmost, customized task lighting illuminates the work
surfaces from above through a central slit and occupies a
minimum amount of space.
The entrance space is enclosed by shoji-like translucent
glass panels, with standardized 900mm widths for both
doors and walls. The glass panels are subdivided into four
equal sections, allowing them to be readily interchangeable
with functional design elements, such as signage or
shelving. Overall flexibility in design allowed for future
layout changes.

彫刻家田中信太郎氏の娘さんの家。信太郎氏からの「大きなパオのような家」を船の構造である竜骨（キール）
によって実現した。中央にコンクリートの壁を三枚立てて、そこに船をひっくり返したような構造である。
素材は、ほぼ全て杉の無垢板をつかい、その他、キッチンの素材にいたるまで無垢にこだわった。

KEEL STRUCTURE HOUSE

This 154m2 private residence was designed for the daughter of sculptor Shintaro Tanaka.
A nautical-like keel structure was employed in response to the sculptor's request for the
house to be "like a big pao". Along the structure's central spine, three concrete walls were
erected over which was placed a structure akin to an upturned boat. While kitchen
furnishings were built with solid slabs of Ohya pumice tuff stone and wood, and an almost
exclusive use of solid Japanese cedar was applied throughout the rest of the building.

斜面地を利用し、眺望を南側に持ちスキップフロアーにより空間を最大に利用した回遊性のある大変ユニークなプラン。
AMX を搭載し、照明・空調設備・ウィンドートリートメント・音楽ＴＶ・暖炉等、全てを 1 台のタッチパネル操作による。
宮城俊作氏デザインによる庭に面する天高 4.5Ｍ・幅１１Ｍの
リビングは一面がガラス張り。大きく開口すると、
庭と一体化しアウトドアリビングとなる。
3 階ジャクジーからの眺望は良く、
ここもまたバルコニーに向け大きく開口すると、
夏は子供が水遊びを楽しむこともできる。
Ｆormal living にはワインセラー室もあり、
別棟に茶室と茶庭。手水鉢の上に紅葉樹あり、春夏秋冬・朝夕
多くの表情を楽しむことのできる贅をつくした住宅プランである。

札幌を一望できる傾斜地に建つ住宅。
構造は北海道地元の材料である唐松、外壁は同じく唐松の燻煙乾燥材を使用した。中央にＲＣの構造体をもち、それに地震力を伝わらせて門型
の唐松の集成材が１．９ｍピッチで並ぶ構造になっている。これにより、外壁と構造が完全に離されているので、将来外壁の位置を変えるかも
しれないというクライアントの要望に応えている。
外壁の黒は塗装ではなく、木を乾燥させるときに燻煙での焼き色そのままの色である。同時に防腐作用がある。
内部は炭塗装と珪藻土の左官で仕上げた。キッチンのカウンターはコンクリート、それに続くブレックファーストカウンターは硬質で水に強い
イペ材の無垢を採用した。天井高を１Ｆは３．５ｍと高くし、２Ｆは２．５ｍとし空間にメリハリをもたせている。
自然の材料のみで囲まれた室内は、北の大地で暖かな空間を造り出している。

シャンパンとロール寿司の専門店。
「Gardenia= くちなしの花」を「Garden= 庭」と
かけて、全体の空間コンセプトを｢花｣と｢庭｣にし
た。
グラフィカルな処理をされたアクリルは、｢ローマ
の列柱｣であり全体を仕切る｢屏風｣になっており、
庭園を感じさせる店となっている。

For this 191m2 champagne and roll sushi specialty
restaurant, we employed the design concept of
"flowers and garden", as a play on the restaurant's
name, Gardenia, which in Japanese sounds like,
"garden-niwa", or "garden yard". Graphic images that
reflect this theme were applied to acrylic panels
arranged in the form of a Roman colonnade that
doubly serve as byobu, or folding screens, that
surround the entire dining space, recalling a
garden-like ambiance.

ミラノのモンテナポレオーネ通りにある、１８１７年創業の老舗
カフェの日本１号店。ナポレオンの兵士だったアントニオ・コヴァ
によって創業。その後、小説家や音楽家などのたまり場となり、
ヘミングウェイの小説の中にも登場する。
その老舗カフェの１号店を飯田都之麿建築デザインが担当。

Milan café establishment that sits along Via Montenapoleone and has been in business

2か月の建設期間と、通常の約3分の１に抑えた軽量で

有機的に環境と呼応しながらシェルターの役割を果たし、葉っぱが朝露を集めるように中央に水をため、
太陽光をエネルギーに変える。建築は最小限の素材量でかろやかに。
「次世代環境都市」を目指す柏の葉のフラッグシップ施設。
This is a flagship facility in Kashiwanoha to promote the city to become an environmental town
of next generation. It turned out to be a challenge for us to reduce the weight of the building
to less than one-third of common structure with limited construction period of two months.
We have consecutively placed the gate-shaped columns to form a mild curve. The columns directly
support outer walls without the need of sash frames or furring strips. Putting three main principles of
the facility; Energy-Conservation , Energy Creation , and Visualization of the effect of Environmental
Conscious Products into our architectural practice, we have sought the solution to demonstrate the
environmental and health conscious eco-office that is also sustainable, creative, and aesthetically more
enjoyable. This site office is a shelter that is organically responds to the environment. It collects the
Conprehensive Support Center
rain water as if a leaf collects morning dew, and converts sunlight into the electric power.

magazine, this 20m2 house can be assembled in one day. Cut to the same proportion
as the wood block building components, acrylic blocks allow light to stream into the
