PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Otway gas processing plant was owned and operated
by Woodside Petroleum and represented a A$1.1bn
investment producing up to 200TJ/ day of natural gas and
500bl/day of stabilised condensate from the offshore
Thylacine production platform.
LPG is also produced, stored and off-loaded from the site
via road tanker.
Hertel Modern (Aibel Australia) was awarded the role of
Main Contractor for all on site project works as well as
off-site farbrication of structural steel and pipework.
This project was one of the largest Oil & Gas projects
undertaken on the eastern seaboard of Australia.
The work was performed by Aibel O&G Aust Team
which was acquired by Hertel Modern in 2010.
