A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CALLAWAY, FLORIDA
SUPPORTING
AN
ADMINISTERED
EMPLOYEE
BY
THE
INCENTIVE
CITY
PROGRAM
MANAGER
FOR
THE
SELECTION AND RECOGNITION OF AN EMPLOYEE OF
THE MONTH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the
City
of
Callaway,
Florida ( the "
City")
wishes to establish a program to
recognize employee excellence, promote a positive work environment, and encourage employee
retention; and
WHEREAS,
after consideration that many other local governments have similar
employee incentive programs and that such a program would benefit the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager as chief administrative officer of the City is responsible
for the supervision and management of aIi subordinate employees; and
WHEREAS,
such
programs
are
consider
good
human
resource
and
personnei
management practice; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Callaway, Florida to support an employee incentive program, administered by the City
Manager
or
his designee
and
called
the " Employee
of
the Month"
program, to recognize
employee excellence, promote a positive work environment, and encourage employee retention
in the City of Callaway.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This Resolution of support shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
