SI Meeting Sweden 14.6.2016, P. Marti Download in Run 14.06.2016, prepared by U. Jäggi Download In Run (DIR) There have been several attempts to find a feasible and good solution for DIR Many manipulations by the user or system can prevent completely or partly a DIR (e.g. changing Fbox online parameters, adding Fboxes which can led to static symbol address changes, etc.). The main difficulty was to detect these situations and generate useful messages to the programmer. After many evaluations, tests and discussions SBC defined an implementation for a good and safe solution. How does it look like? • The first time init and cold start initialization of the Fboxes are no longer done in the XOB16. New specific initialization blocks have been implemented which support individual Fbox initialization during DIR • In case of modification of specific Fbox online parameters DIR may resp. must be blocked. To support this for every Fbox parameter an additional information for DIR will be implemented. By this the programmer gets directly a message when doing program or parameter modifications in FUPLA and DIR is still allowed or will be blocked by PG5. 3 | Saia Burgess Controls | www.saia-pcd.com Results, next steps resp. planning The proof of concept successfully passed For the final implementation PG5, all Fboxes and the PCD firmware must be adapted Finally all Fboxes need to be carefully tested by the system test Users guide for Fbox developers The main work effort is in the adaption and test of the Fboxes. The planning is not confirmed yet. It is wished to have a first version for selected pilot customers in September 2016 -> SBC Technical Meeting 2016 Whenever possible DIR should be supported in PG5 V2.2 DIR is a key function validated on SBC roadmap 4 | Saia Burgess Controls | www.saia-pcd.com Portfolio 14.6.2016, P.
