Diamond Innovations® is the leading global supplier of manufactured superabrasives products required for high pressure research applications such as in situ neutron diffraction experiments. Our Versimax™ composite can be made into unique shapes and sizes for anvil and backing plate designs. Versimax Composite for high pressure research anvils “The result shows that it can reach over 30 GPa at 300 ton, suggesting the ability for pressure generation.” Natural Technical Research Institution in Japan and Natural Universities Versimax composites have wear resistance, mechanical strength and high temperature stability needed for wear parts and nozzles. This product is a monolithic solid and does not require tungsten carbide supporting substrates. The composite has wear resistance approaching sintered diamond but provides substantially higher thermal stability and is available as large as 35mm diameter by 35mm overall thickness. EDM can be used for shaping and truncating. Testing done by the Natural Technical Research Institution in Japan and Natural Universities proved Versimax material absorbed less neutrons compared to Co-binder products and other SiC products. Versimax composite anvils showed excellent capabilities of reaching 30GPa at 300 ton. Note: Backing plates and other accessories have also been used by other customers. 6325 Huntley Road Worthington, OH 43085 1-800-443-1955 P 614-438-2000 www.diamondinnovations.com Convenient online ordering available Diamond Innovations is a registered trademark of Diamond Innovations, Inc., U.S.A.
