Roseburg, Ore. - The Roseburg District Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will implement a decision discontinue allowing helpers on all non-rock and non-board feet permits purchased from the District beginning October 1, 2014. These will include, but are not limited to, the collection of things such as: cedar boughs, greenery (such as salal), and mushrooms.

The Cow Creek Back Country Byway runs along Cow Creek, west of Riddle, OR and West of Glendale, OR. Cow Creek Road from Riddle into the fire area and from Glendale into the fire have been closed.
