Portland, Ore. � Today the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposed a path forward for local communities in Western Oregon with a plan that will increase job growth, tourism and recreation, and timber harvest, while offering strong protections for the northern spotted owl, listed fish species, and water resources.
Portland, Ore. � To provide an update on the status of the proposed Boardman to Hemingway Transmission Line project, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) today announced the release of the preliminary preferred alternative for the project routes that the BLM is considering for inclusion in the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The transmission project between Oregon and Idaho would provide additional capacity for exchanging energy between the Pacific Northwest and the Intermountain West.
