One of the most common reasons a computer will have difficulties running OptiShot is because it does not have the most recent video drivers.
Computer manufacturers do not continually update the video drivers for the computers they sell. Because of this, it is not uncommon for a two
year old computer to be unable to run the latest graphics intensive software such as video games and the OptiShot Simulator. For this reason, it
is important to get video drivers from the actual graphics card manufacturer. The problem with this is that graphics card manufacturers try to
detect the driver currently installed on computers. If they find a driver from the computer manufacturer installed, they will deny you their latest
version.
The directions below get around these checks and will help you the latest version possible for your video card.
В STEP 1: FIND THE NAME AND THE MANUFACTURER OF THE VIDEO CARD
В WindowsВ® Vista or WindowsВ® 7

В STEP 2: UNINSTALL THE CURRENT DISPLAY ADAPTER FROM DEVICE MANAGER

Right click on Computer (or My Computer) and choose Manage to open the Computer Management window.
On the left hand side click Device Manager.
Double-clickВ Display adaptersВ to expand the list.
Right-click the display device in the expanded list and then clickВ Uninstall.
On theВ Confirm Device UninstallВ window place a check in the box next to "Delete the driver software for this device."
ClickВ OKВ to complete the uninstall process.
Restart the computer and then move on to Step 3.
В STEP 3: GET THE LATEST DRIVERS FOR YOUR VIDEO CARD

Here you can see exactly which version of Windows you are running. Also, down the list on the right, it will tell the amount of RAM you computer has.
Remember, you need a minimum of 2 GB.
В Double-click on Components on the left to open that list, then click on Display. You can now see details about your video card. In the list on the right it will
show you the amount of Adapter RAM your video card has. You need a minimum of 256 MB.

В OpenGL VERSION
Finding the OpenGL capabilities of your video card is a little more difficult.В If you are purchasing a new computer it will have OpenGL 2.0 capability. However, if
you want to check if your existing computer does, there are two ways to do this.
In the first method, follow the first step in the Update Your Drivers instructions to get the Manufacturer and Name of your video card. Then use the links at the
bottom of that page to go to the manufacturer's website and look up that card. In the specifications it should tell you what version of OpenGL it supports.
The second method is to download the OpenGL Extensions Viewer.
This is a third party application. Although we believe this application to be trustworthy, Dancin' Dogg cannot be held liable for your usage.
Go to the Realtech Website, be sure to select Windows as your operating system, then click the Download button and Save the file to your computer.
Once the download is complete run the installation program.
After installation, when you run the program it will clearly show you exactly what version of OpenGL your graphics card can support.
Remember, the minimum is Version 2.0

Why are there no lights on the Swing Pad?
Ensure the USB cable is firmly and fully inserted into both the USB 2.0 port on the computer and the USB port on the Swing Pad.
The Swing Pad is powered by the computer through the connected USB cable. When properly connected to the
computer's USB 2.0 port, power is sent to the Swing Pad after the OptiShot software starts.
As soon as the Main Menu is open, the single green Device Connected/Hit When Ready light will illuminate. If the
green Device Connected/Hit When Ready light is not lit then insure the USB cable is firmly and fully inserted into both

Can OptiShot be used outside?
OptiShot cannot be used in direct sunlight.
OptiShot is designed to be used indoors and must have the proper lighting conditions for its infrared sensors to function accurately. If your simulator is reporting
inaccurate or nonsensical swing results, the most likely cause is your lighting environment.
В ACCURACY DEPENDS ON PROPER LIGHTING.
AVOID SUNLIGHT AND ALL OTHER SOURCES OF INFRARED LIGHT.
Because OptiShot uses infrared sensors to provide key shot data and swing analysis, it should only be used indoors as the light from the
sun causes inaccurate results.
Below are some lighting guidelines.
OptiShot works best when used in a room with fluorescent lighting.
Warehouse lighting such as Sodium Vapor or Metal Halide also work very well.
Overhead light is generally better than light from the side of the room.
Avoid Incandescent, halogen, and daylight as even small indirect amounts will affect performance.
Shadows from objects such as the club shaft and that of the golfer also may affect performance.
