I hope you are all enjoying the
time we are spending celebrating
God's "Amazing Grace." This
week, we are going to be
blessed by having Scripture
remind us that this amazing grace
sees us through the difficulties in
life, the challenges in life, the
hurts in life and the "storms" in
life. Life is not an easy
experience. The journey isn't
always easy. But what I have
experienced and as have many of
you have as well, the Christian
faith is the only way to really live
because it is saturated in God's
amazing grace. The power of that
amazing grace has found me
through all of my past life and
gives me trust for the future.
Matthew 7:2427 will be the
Scripture lesson for the morning.

AWANA FAIR
This Sunday in our Threshold
services, we are blessed to have
the Flake Family Singers share
the story behind the most well
known hymn in the English
speaking world Amazing Grace.
This wonderful reminder of grace
will lead us into Sunday's
message on how to "Love Each
Other" as a body of believers. We
weren't baptized into a personal
relationship with Jesus alone. We
were baptized into a body. As
pastor Erik Raymond wrote in his
blog post, "Life in community with
sinners doesn't fit on a Hallmark
card. It's messy and pride
exposing. It is anything but
easy. The difference here is
simply the word love."

Caregivers' Connection
Next meeting:
Monday, March 23
10 a.m. 12 p.m.
In Room C6
FOCUS
What are among the ten leading reasons elderly people are sent to the hospital?
Falls? Pneumonia? Adverse reaction to medication? While strokes and heart
attacks might be what most think of as most likely to land their elderly charges
in the emergency room, other reasons are just as critical.
Find out what these reasons are on Monday, March 23, when Dr. Julie Zimmerer
speaks to the Caregivers' Connection group, which will meet that day from 10
a.m. to noon in room C6 at the Canyon Lake Community Church. Dr. Julie, who
many Canyon Lakers know through her chiropractic practice in the Towne
Center, learned firsthand the difficulties of hiring inhome caregivers when she
had to hire one to help her father with daytoday activities after he developed
paraplegia following a stroke. It was that experience that prompted her to create
a new type of senior care My Choice InHome Care which was named the
2014 Top Workplace by the PressEnterprise.
Caregivers' Connection provides an opportunity for caregivers to share common
problems, needs and experiences as they offer around the clock care for their
husbands, wives or parents. Anyone caring for a loved one 24/7 for illnesses
such as dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, heart issues or Parkinson's is welcome
to attend.
The group meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month. For more
information, contact the group's facilitator Jo Ann Wickerath (6797736).

We are once again doing our 30Hour Famine. This amazing event has given our
students and our church the chance year after year to do something about the
global hunger problem. We partner with World Vision and go without food for 30
hours in an effort to raise money for children in poverty throughout the world. If
there are any students that want to join us in this adventure, please contact me to
sign up. You must raise at least $30 to participate as this will feed a child for an
entire month. We start fasting on Friday, March 20, and will spend the night at
CLCC that night. We will grow together, pray, have fun, and serve our own
community. If any congregation member wants to support our group or has any questions,
please contact Pastor Jay (2441877, Ext. 216) at any time. God Bless.
.
Women's Circles are small groups of women who meet once a month in each other's homes
or in Building C of CLCC. They pray and support missionaries, and pray for and encourage
one another. Being a member of a Women's Circle provides an excellent opportunity for
small group fellowship. For more information contact Circle Coordinator Phyllis Duncan
(9512459380).\
The Ruth Circle is once again making pillows for Calicinto Ranch. You could help by donating a pillow (finished
size: 16"X22"), donating 1 1/3 yards of fabric (enough for two pillows), or donating $3.00. Please use fabric patterns
suitable for children.
A table will by set up near Guest Central on April 12 and on the patio on April 19. For more information, contact
Gayle Lacy (9513019115) or Phyllis Duncan (9512459380).

MARCH 26: Lesson 9
Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a place where you and your whole
family can come to find support, encouragement, and real
relationships in an environment that is both safe and
productive.
At CR you are free to get real about the hurts, habits, and hang
ups we all have as part of our experience as human beings.
Whether you're dealing with finances, family stresses,
depression, overeating, addictions, building honest friendships
or maybe you're just plain tired of pretending everything in
your life is 'fine' when it's not whatever the case, CR will help
you live in true freedom. For those of you who STILL think Celebrate Recovery is just for
alcoholics or drug addicts, here is a partial list of other issues God can
heal through the Celebrate Recovery Ministry:
Codependency
This group is for those struggling with the compulsion to rescue and take
care of others, have difficulty setting boundaries, or recognizing their own
worth. Members in this group learn to express their own needs and
wants in healthy ways.
Freedom from Anger
These recovery groups are for men and women who find that anger is
their first response to problems of any size. The anger may be very
evident as rage, or less obvious in terms of withdrawal and isolation.
These groups focus on managing a Godgiven emotion in constructive
ways.
Love and Relationship Addiction
This group provides a safe place to deal with the depression, isolation,
lack of trust, and the unhealthy use of love and relationships as means of
achieving worth, that are characteristic of Romance and Relationship
Addictions.
Sexual Integrity
Support group for those seeking recovery from lust and compulsive
sexual behaviors. This group provides fellowship, is a safe place to share
our struggles, pain and victories and helps to establish accountability and
mutual support among the group members throughout the week.
Physical / Emotional / Sexual Abuse
This group is for those who have endured past physical, sexual and/or
emotional abuse. Recovery includes healing from the traumas done to us
at sometime in our past, as well as healing from the influence these past
experiences continue to have on our lives.
Chemical Dependency
If you find you cannot quit drinking or using drugs entirely, or if you have
little control over the amount you consume, you are probably an alcoholic
and / or an addict. If that is the case, you may be suffering from a
problem which only a spiritual solution will conquer.
Adult Child of Family Dysfunction
The family problem of alcoholism made us "covictims" those who take
on the characteristics of the alcoholic without necessarily ever taking a
drink. Choosing to recognize and exit the modeled behaviors of
alcoholism is the beginning of recovery for the ACFD.
*Newcomers 101
The Newcomers 101 class is a one time class designed to familiarize you
with the various components of Celebrate Recovery. This is a great
opportunity to ask questions and to help you identify an openshare
group to attend the following week. During the latter part of the class, the
group breaks out into a men's group and a women's group to give you a
chance to share and to ask more detailed questions.
