Background
• Once was its own organization going back to 1852
• Still associated with Royal Caledonia Curling Club (R.C.C.C.)
• Became a sub-committee under CQ when various Quebec
provincial curling organisations merged
• OVCA broke away from CQ – Branch agreement 2011
• Branch now breaking away from CQ to become independent
organization again as CQ failed to provide support agreed to in
the merger.
• Canadian Branch to provide International (GNCC, and Canada)
and Interprovincial (CQ, OVCA and GNCC) competitions
– These events will be in addition to CQ’s Club Series and will
not conflict with CQ’s Club Series
Funding
• Branch affiliation fee - $25 per club
- eligible to play in Branch events especially
Quebec Challenge Cup series and Gordon
International
