L'AZIENDA: IGLOO REFRIGERAZIONE S.R.L.
IGLOO ha le sue sedi operative a Odolo e Lumezzane, in provincia di
Brescia, dove produce componenti di linea per il freddo sia standard che
speciali: rubinetti a sfera, spie di liquido e raccorderia in ottone.
IGLOO è nata dall'esperienza dei suoi fondatori, che negli anni si
sono sempre più specializzati nella produzione di componenti di linea per
conto dei maggiori marchi internazionali e fa parte di un gruppo industriale
che esiste dagli anni '60 e vanta una profonda conoscenza nella produzione e
progettazione di raccordi e valvole per il controllo dei fluidi in molteplici
settori industriali tra cui l'oleodinamica, la pneumatica, l'alimentare, il
petrolchimico, l'automotive, l'idraulica, il gas, ecc..
L'AFFIDABILITÀ DEI PRODOTTI IGLOO
IGLOO ha scelto di collaudare i propri prodotti con la più avanzata tecnologia disponibile sul mercato, ad elio
in camere ad alto vuoto, e di produrre per mezzo dei più moderni macchinari che integrano tecnologia e
automazione spinta. Grazie a questi investimenti IGLOO è riuscita a combinare competitività e affidabilità nei suoi
prodotti, proponendosi sulla scena internazionale come partner di un numero sempre crescente di produttori nel
settore del freddo.
Per questo i prodotti IGLOO garantiscono una soglia di perdita verso l'esterno inferiore al grammo annuo di
refrigerante e vengono impiegati in circuiti frigoriferi con fluidi CFC, HCFC, HFC e CO2 che lavorano con pressioni di
esercizio fino a 48bar.
I RUBINETTI A SFERA IGLOO
I rubinetti a sfera IGLOO sono valvole bi-direzionali operate
manualmente, impiegate per fermare il flusso di refrigerante nelle linee di liquido
e di scarico del compressore durante le manutenzioni, ad esempio per creare un
by-pass durante il cambio filtro.
Il corpo in ottone, la sfera in acciaio inox, i tubi in rame e le guarnizioni in
una speciale formulazione di Teflon per le basse temperature sono prodotti
secondo i più alti standard qualitativi.
Durante l’assemblaggio tutti i rubinetti IGLOO vengono sigillati tramite
una saldatura di tipo TIG per assicurarne l'assoluta ermeticità. In fine per garantire una soglia di perdita verso
l'ambiente inferiore a 1 grammo annuo di refrigerante tutti i rubinetti IGLOO sono collaudati ad elio in camere ad
alto vuoto, operando in conformità allo standard EN 1779/B.6.
La gamma IGLOO propone il rubinetto a sfera in due varianti: la prima variante, più semplice, è sprovvista di
valvola d’accesso, mentre nella seconda variante viene incorporata una valvola d’accesso di tipo Schrader
direttamente in una delle estremità del corpo di ottone: questa soluzione ha permesso di ridurre il numero di
giunzioni brasate e conseguentemente anche i punti di potenziale perdita.
Entrambe le varianti sono disponibili con connessioni a brasare con le estremità calibrate sia in millimetri che
in pollici.

IGLOO prefers the 39^ Mostra Convegno Expocomfort in Milan to present the renewed
range of ball valves for air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
THE COMPANY: IGLOO REFRIGERAZIONE S.R.L.
IGLOO operations are established in Odolo and Lumezzane, in the
province of Brescia in Lumbardy, where it produces line components for
AC/R, standard and custom: ball valves, sight glasses and brass fittings.
IGLOO was born from its founders' experience, formerly specialized
in the production of custom line components for some international brands
of the industry and it is part of an industrial group that exists from the late
'60s and that has a deep know-how in the production and design of fittings
and valves for fluid controls in several industrial applications such as
oleodynamics, pneumatics, beverage, petrochemical, automotive,
hydraulics, gas, etc..
RELIABILITY OF IGLOO PRODUCTS
IGLOO leak-tests its production by mean of the most advanced technology available on the market, helium
sniffers in high vacuum chambers, and produces with some of the most modern machineries that integrates
technology and deep automation. Thanks to investments in this direction IGLOO has succeeded to combine
competitivity and reliability into its products, posing ifself as an international partner of an increasing number of
OEMs in the industry.
For this reason IGLOO products can guarantee a leakrate to the environment lower than 1 gram/year of
refrigerant and are adopted in refrigeration units and air-conditioners working with fluids CFC, HCFC, HFC and CO2
and pressure up to 48bar (700psi).
IGLOO BALL VALVES
The ball valves IGLOO are bi-flow, manually operated, shut-off valves
used to stpo the flow of refrigerant in liquid lines and compressor discharge lines
while maintenance, e.g. to create a by-pass during a filter change.
The brass body, the stainless steel ball, the copper tubes and the sealing
gasket made in a special Teflon for low temperatures are manufactured
according to the highest quality standards.
During the assembly IGLOO ball valves are sealed by mean of a TIG
welding to assure an absolute tightness. Finally to guarantee a leakrate to the
environment lower than 1 gram/year of refrigerant all IGLOO valves are leak-tested with Helium in a vacuum
chambre, operating according to standard EN 1779/B.6.
IGLOO range offers two version of ball valves: the first, more simple, doesn’t include the access valve, while
the second has the access valve “Schrader” directly incorporated into on end of the brass body: this solution has
reduced the number of brazed joints and therefore also the number of potential leaking points.
Both versions are available with the extremity of brazing connection calibrated in millimeters and inches.
