The 49th International Symposium of Applied Aerodynamics will focus on specific problems resulting from interactions between aerodynamics and environment. This involves both the effects of environment on aerodynamics performance and the impact of aerodynamics on the environment. As regards the effects of environment, the main topics considered will be the impact of weather conditions, atmospheric turbulence, ground effects etc. on aircrafts as well as on terrestrial vehicles and as on buildings. Concerning the influence of aerodynamics on environment, problems of interest include topics related to nuisances, sustainable development of aerial and terrestrial vehicles as well as fluidic devices for the environmental management in buildings. All domains of application of aerodynamics will be of interest: aircrafts and UAV, terrestrial vehicles, buildings, wind-turbine farms, ships, trains, etc. Acoustic waves emitted by a cavity. © Onera Symposium Location Organisation Programme overview Ecole Centrale de Lille Avenue Henri Poincaré Cité Scientifique 59651 Villeneuve d’Ascq France GPS : 50.611588-3.142495 MONDAY 24 MARCH 2014 8:00 Registration 9:00 Symposium Welcome 9:30 Keynote Conference 10:15 – 13:15 Session n° 1: Icing 14:15 Keynote Conference 15:00 – 19:00 Sessions n°2a & 2b: Miscellaneous effects: Ground, acoustics, ventilation TUESDAY 25 MARCH 2014 8:45 9:30 – 13:00 14:00 14:45 – 18:45 Keynote Conference Session n°3: Atmospheric turbulence Keynote Conference Session n°4: Aerodynamics for green vehicles WEDNESDAY 26 MARCH 2014 8:45 9:30 – 13:30 14:30 – 17:00 Keynote Conference Session n°5: Vortices and wakes Technical Visits: - EC-Lille Laboratories - Onera – Lille Monday, March 24, 2014 49th International Symposium of Applied Aerodynamics Lille, March 24 – 25 – 26, 2014 8:00 9:00 REGISTRATION SYMPOSIUM WELCOME Christian Mari (Vice President, French Aeronautics and Astronautics Society) Etienne Craye (Director, Ecole Centrale of Lille) 9:30 KEYNOTE CONFERENCE N°1: In flight icing modelling: issues, state of the art and main challenges Philippe Villedieu (Onera) Session n° 1: Icing Chairperson: Joël Reneaux (Onera) 10:15 Mathematical model for ice - wall interactions within a level set method Morency F., Baugendre H.and Dufrénot R.
