規格の解説
Explanation on Standard
■UL規格
ULとはUnderwriters Laboratories Inc.の略称で、1894年米国の全
国火災保険者組合（National Bureau of Fire Underwriters：NBFU）
をスポンサーとして設立された。この機関は営利を目的とするの
ではなく火災、盗難、その他の事故から人命、財産を保護するた
め材料、機械、装置などの最低要求条件を確保することを目的と
して実験、研究、試験、検査を行うことを業務としている。
現在米国では大部分の保険業者、連邦政府、州政府、市政府の各
機関、各製造業者、建築業者等は火災、盗難などの事故防止のた
め材料、機械、装置などを承認するときの条件としてULの検査
規準に適合する製品であることを示すULマーク又はULラベル付
きのものであることを強く要求している。
■CSA規格
CSAとはCanadian Standards Associationの略称で、1919年
Dominion Companies Actのもとに設立され、1944年Canadian
Engineering Standards Associationから現在の名称Canadian
Standards Associationに変わった。国立とはなっているが、国家
機関ではなく、各メーカー、各ユーザーその他より集められた人
で構成している非営利団体でカナダにおける国家的標準類の作成
機関となっている。
そして、カナダ国内で販売する電気機器類は全てCSAマーク又は
CSAラベル付きのものであることが法的に規定されている。
■UL Standard
The UL is an abbreviation of Underwriters Laboratories Inc., and
was established in 1894 under sponsorship of the National Bureau
of Fire Underwriters: NBFU in the United States.
This is a non-profit-making institution, and conducts business to
perform experiments, research, tests and inspections so as to
secure the minimum requirements of machinery, equipment, etc. to
protect the human life and property from fires, thefts and other
accidents.
At the present time, in the United States the greater part of
underwriters, every organization of federal government, state
governments and municipal governments, manufacturers,
constructions, etc. are require strong products with the UL mark of
UL as conditions of approving materials, machinery, equipment,
etc. for accident prevention, such as fires, thefts, etc.
■CSA Standard
The CSA is an abbreviation of Canadian Standards Association, and
was established in 1919 under the Dominion Companies Act, and
changed in 1944 from Canadian Engineering Standards Association
to Canadian Standards Association, the present name. It is
determined as national, but not a governmental institution. A
nonprofit organization constituted of manufacturer's
representatives, users and others, resulting in an elaborate
institution of national standards in Canada.
And, it is legally provided that electrical equipment sold in Canada
should be entirely with the CSA mark of CSA label.

UL、CSAのラベルについて
■UL、CSAラベルの添付
当社では、UL、CSA規格の承認を受けた製品には荷札の裏にそれぞ
れのラベルを貼付けております。UL、CSA共用製品には、各把ごとに
UL 、CSA両方のラベルが添付されております。
■UL、CSAラベルの取扱い
UL 、CSAラベルは、製品がそれぞれの認定機関に合格している証拠
として使用されておりますので、以下の点に十分ご注意下さい。
（1）ラベルは、電線が使用された電気・電子機器等のULまたはCSA
の立会試験が完了するまで保管下さい。
（2）当社より出荷完了した製品に対するラベルの再発行はできません。
（3）UL、CSAラベルは、UL、CSA規格に合致しない製品には添付で
きません。
（4）UL、CSAラベルは下図をご参照下さい。

On UL's and CSA's Labels
■Appending of UL and CSA pass labels
Our company sticks or prints respective pass labels on the back of
tags for products approved by the UL and CSA standard.
For UL and CSA common products both tags of UL and CSA are
stuck per bundle.
■Handling of UL and CSA pass labels
Since UL and CSA pass labels are used as proof that products
passed the inspection by respective approval institutions, full
attention shall be paid to the following points.
1) Keep pass labels until the witnessed test of UL or CSA of
electrical and electronic equipment, etc. using the electronic
wire is completed.
2) The reissuance of pass labels for shipped products cannot be
made.
3) UL and CSA pass labels cannot be attached to products not
conforming to the UL and CSA standard.
4) UL and CSA pass labels are referred to the under figures.
UL、CSA認定電線の表示について
UL、CSA規格の承認を受けた製品には、各々の規定された内容の表
示を行います。ただし、スミフロン電線、または外径の細い電線など印
刷の困難な製品には表示しない場合があります。

（2）UL規格上の製品分類コンポーネントマーク：

（4）CSA規格上の製品分類：Type名またはAWM
（CSA規格承認製品のみ）

：CSA規格品でクラスⅠを示しており機器内部配線
材に表示する。
・Ⅱ
：CSA規格品でクラスⅡを示しており機器外部配線
材に表示する。
・Ⅰ/Ⅱ
：クラスⅠおよびⅡ双方を満たしている配線材に表
示する。
・A
：CSA規格品でグループAを示しており機械的酷使を
受けない箇所で使用の配線材に表示する。
・B
：CSA規格品で機械的酷使を受ける箇所で使用可能
な配線材に表示する。
・A/B
：グループAおよびB双方を満たしている配線材に表
示する。
（5）UL 、CSA規格上の定格温度、定格電圧

ただしUL 、CSA 規格上の表示を要求されていない製品については省略する場合があります。

アンチモン化合物を含んでいない製品に表示する。
注）
これらの表示内容はUL、CSA規格の改訂により変更する場合があります。
On Indication of UL and CSA Approved Electronic Wire
For products approved by the UL and CSA standard, the respective
content prescribed by each standard is indicated. However, no
indication is required on products, such as SUMIFLON® electronic
wire, or electronic wire of fine outer diameter, etc., due to printing
difficulty.

: Marked on the wiring materials that comply with
both Group A and Group B.
5) Rated temperature and rated voltage in the UL and CSA
standard
Note) However, there are some products on which the indication of UL and CSA standard
are omitted.

: to products passing the "Vertical Flame Test" of
the UL standard.

: to registered products conforming to the
combustion test of the Electrical Appliance and
Material Safety Law required to the wiring
material for TV receiver.

CSA Standard.

"Horizontal Combustion Test" in conformance
with CSA Standard.

: Marked on the PVC insulated wires not using lead
compounds in insulation materials.

: Marked on the flame-retardant polyolefin
insulated wires not using the specific brominated
flame-retardants.

halogenated or phosphorous flame retardants,
lead compounds, or antimony compounds.
