course of a few days, a few words, Céline experiences her first true moments of childhood and lightness, exhilaration and trust. Peter, far from his native England
and engulfed by the sad memory of his lost wife and daughter, is at his life’s end, but like a sublime and aging angel, he encounters Céline, a wounded child.

Born in Versailles in 1941, Agnès Troublé has become one of the finest names
in the world of fashion under the name of Agnès b. In 1973, she launched her
own fashion brand and opens her first Parisian shop, where customers came
en masse to acquire her famous pressure button cardigan. Over the years, the
brand developed on the prêt-à-porter market before expanding to cosmetics
and perfumes. Her activities expanded outside of the fashion territory: agnès
b. also nourishes a passion for contemporary art. In 1984, she opened an
art gallery Rue Quincampoix in Paris, where she exhibited her favorite artists
from all over the world, as well as photographers, street artists, painters, etc.
A great collector in her own right, she supports numerous artistic events, edits
a periodical entitled “Le Point d’Ironie”, participated in the restoration of
Jacques Tati’s masterpiece, Playtime. She funded a film production company
in 1997, named Love Streams in homage to John Cassavetes. My Name is
Hmmm… is her first film as a director.

After studying law and art history, Christophe Audeguis began his career in
1991 with Europa Cinema before joining Bagheera Productions where he
worked on several short films, including Erik Zonca’s Rives. In 1993, he joined
the CNC (French Centre National du Cinéma) in the department of support of
production and distribution of short films.
From 1998 on, and for 5 years, he was successively an administrative and
financial director of La Petite Reine and an executive producer at Ciné B. with
Philippe Carcassone, whom he collaborated on films such as: Denys Arcand’s
Stardom, Richard Bean’s Franck Spadone, Anne Fontaine’s Comment j’ai tué
mon père, Jacques Audiard’s Sur mes lèvres, Patrice Leconte’s Félix et Lola,
Rue des Plaisirs and L’Homme du Train. He also co-produced Amos Kollek’s
Bridget, produced by Frédérique Robbes with F.R.P.
In 2005, he became a partner with Guy Péchard and Jim Bimant with Bliss
and produced Johannes Stjärne Nilsson and Ola Simonsson’s Sound of Noise.
He coproduced Tariq Teguia’s Inland with ciné-@ and Philippe Carcassonne.
In 2010, he joined Love Streams agnes b. Productions as Producer. The
company has produced, among others, Harmony Korine’s Mister Lonely
(2007) or co-produced Jonathan Caouette’s Walk Away Renée (2011), F.J.
Ossang’s Dharma Guns (2011), Lucille Hadzihalilovic’s Innocence (2004),
Patrice Chéreau’s His Brother (2003) or Emilie Deleuze’s Mister V. (2003).
With O’Salvation Ciné Ltd. (based in Nashville, TN), founded by agnès b.
and Harmony Korine, Love Streams agnès b. Productions is acting as an
international production entity. Spring Breakers, Harmony Korine’s last feature,
has premiered at the 2012 Venice International Film Festival.

Born 1957 in Kirghizstan, Aktan Arym Kubat (also credited as Aktan
Abdikalikow) studied at art school, graduating in 1980. He then worked as
a set-designer at Studio Kirghiz film and worked in this capacity on several
fiction films. In 1990 he made a short documentary film, A Dog was Running.
In 1993 his mid-length film Sel’kincek recounted an eleven year old boy’s
discovery of the adult world. It won an award in Locarno’s Leopards of
Tomorrow competition, a FIPRESCI Jury mention in Turin and First Prize at
the Potsdam Festival. In between making two short films, he directed public
service films, one of which, Yris-Aldy-Yntimak won the Grand Prix at the
Moscow International Advertising Festival. In 1998, he made his feature debut
with The Adapted Son which won Siler Leopard at Locarno and many awards in
Vienna and Tokyo. In 2001, his second feature film, The Chimp was selected
for the section Un Certain Regard at Cannes. His latest feature film The Light
Thief was selected at Cannes’ 2010 Director’s Fortnight and earned awards
in many other festivals (Locarno, Cottbus, Almaty, Toronto etc.). He is now

The film’s hero is a quiet, small and modest man named Centaur.
He believes that the Kyrgyz people are descendants of the centaurs
of ancient Greek mythology and that the Heaven has punished the
once omnipotent people for breaking the rule and abusing it in their
dealings with other people. He also believes that a genuine racer
has to be found and ride through the steppe at night to pray for
forgiveness of the ancestors’ acts, so that the Kambar-Ata will appear
and lift the curse. And then his people will once again become
omnipotent and noble.
For this reason, Centaur keeps stealing the most precious racing
horses in the district. The rich men from whom he stole horses
suspect a well-known horse-thief Sadyrbek, who is almost sent to
prison. To clear his name, Sadyrbek conspires with the victims of the
theft to catch the real thief.
When Centaur is caught, Karabai, whose horse was stolen, recognizes
him. Though he was already passed fifty years of age, Centaur
married Karabai’s relative, a young deaf-mute Maripa out of pity and
had a son named Kushtar. Karabai gives him a chance to redeem
himself and takes him along to Mecca to make a pilgrimage to the
holy place. But in Mecca, Centaur steals the horse of a well-known
Arabian sheikh. The news papers report that the sheikh’s racer has
turned into Burak, Mohammed’s sacred horse. Only Karabai knows
what has actually happened. Upon his return Karabai surrenders
Centaur to the court of the Elders (Aksakal) and they decide to expel
Centaur from the village. By then, Maripa has taken Kushtar and left
the house for she discovered that Centaur cheated on her for the
lovely widow Sharapat.
Centaur withdraws to the mountains and finds a grazing herd of
horses. He mounts one of the horses and rides to the mountain ridge.
There Centaur either flies up to Heaven after having been heard by
his protector Kambar-Ata, or simply falls into the abyss, but soars up
in the air during his prayer.
Maripa and Kushtar returns to their house in the village. While playing
with Maripa in the courtyard, Kushtar, who was mute like his mother
suddenly speaks up and starts telling the father’s legend. Kushtar
can now speak.

In the slummy suburbs of Kyrgyzstan’s capital, lives a fifty-year-old man named Centaur, a simple man who lives with his wife and son. He used to steal horses for
a living, but now, his life is quite peaceful. One day, a certain Sadyr shows up at Centaur’s home, and challenges him to steal a famous horse from a very famous
man.
Suddenly, Centaur becomes the center of attention of all the inhabitants of this slum: in the mosque, people say that Centaur – who has never been very religious –
is preparing himself for the Hadj…

う。新聞ではその馬は預言者モハメドを乗せて運ぶ動物ブラクに変身し
たと報道するが、カラバイは事実を知っている。旅のあと、カラバイはセ
ントーアの行動を長老達に報告し、セントーアは追放を言い渡される。妻
マリパはすでに息子フシィタールを連れ立って村を出ていた。セントーア
が美しい未亡人シャラパと浮気しているのを知ったのだ。
山へと向ったセントーアは、そこで馬の群れに出くわす。馬に股がって
山の峰を駆け上っていくセントーア。そこで神に受け入れられたかのよ
うに、断崖絶壁に落ちていくかと思うと、祈りを捧げながら天に舞い上
がっていく。
家に戻って来るマリパとフシィタール。庭で息子と遊んでいると、母親
と同様に聾唖だった息子が突如喋り出し、父親の伝説を語り出す。

Cedomir Kolar was born in former Yugoslavia, in the city of Rijeka on the
Adriatic coast of Croatia. He graduated in film production at the Belgrade
Academy of Dramatic Arts. Since 1991, he has been acting as a producer
for Noé Productions in Paris. His credits include Before the Rain by Milcho
Manchevski, Africa my Africa and Kini and Adams by Idrissa Ouedraogo, As You
Like Me by Carmine Amoroso, Train of Life by Radu Mihaileanu, The Adopted
Son and The Chimp by Aktan Abdykalykov, No Man’s Land by Danis Tanovic
and Danis Tanovic’s short film in the collection of films 11’09”01, produced by
Galatée films and StudioCanal.
Cedomir is the Academy Award nominee Before the Rain and the Academy
Award winning producer (No Man’s Land).
In 2003 he started the new Paris based independent production company,
A.S.A.P. Films, together with the Oscar-winning director Danis Tanovic and
his fellow producer Marc Baschet. The company’s philosophy is that of
independent production of films by authors from different parts of the world,
regardless of the language, cost or author’s notoriety. It has produced Danis
Tanovic’s films L’Enfer (Hell), Triage and Cirkus Columbia, Benjamin Filipovic’s
film The Well Tempered Corpses, Marion Hänsel’s films Si le Vent Soulève le
Sable (Chamelle) and Noir Océan (Black Ocean); Aktan Arym Kubat’s, The
Light Thief, Hungarian film Womb written and directed by Benedek Fliegauf,
Serbian film Besa, written and directed by Srdjan Karanovic.

written and to be directed by Tala Hadid, Centaur, Arym Aktan Kubat’s next
feature film, Le Mystère Trannoy by young French authors and directors Avril

Since her beloved brother Nathan died, Sarah becomes more and more a stranger to herself. In a quest to get close to Nathan, she seeks refuge in Japan, in a small
village by the cliffs. Nathan said he found relief there, close to a man named Tenshi. Sarah’s life will be deeply changed by her stay there.

Vanja d’Alcantara was born in Brussels in 1977. She studied history before
going to the RITS School of Arts. In 2002, she left for New York University to
study screenwriting. In 2004, she produced and directed her first documentary
La Tercera Vida (Third Life) entirely shot in a Spanish prison. Granitsa (2006)
a short film, was shot on the Trans-Siberian in Russia and selected in many
national and international film festivals. Beyond the Steppes (2010) her first
feature, tells the intimate story of a young polish woman who was deported to
Central Asia by the Russians in the beginning of WWII. This very personal film
is based on the true story of her grandmother. The film was selected in many
festivals over the world, including Official Selection at Locarno Film Festival.
The screenplay for this project is based on Olivier Adam’s novel. She wrote the
first draft and is now working on the final version, with the collaboration of the

schools in Belgium, Delcampe worked as an assistant director. In 1995, he

Satomi (35) is a working hard to support her dying friend Abel. Abel being gay, Satomi’s love for him has remained sadly unrequited. When Abel dies, Satomi

35 year-old Satomi’s life is going nowhere. She is a timid, quiet

Born in 1947 in Copenhagen, Søren Kragh-Jacobsen remains one of
Denmark’s most successful film directors. After qualifying as an electrical
engineer in 1968, he went to Prague to study at the Film and TV School of the
Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) graduating in documentary films in 1970.
His debut feature Wanna See My Beautiful Navel (1978) has become a modern
Danish classic helping define the youth film genre not only in Denmark but all
over the Nordic countries. It was followed by Rubber Tarzan (1981), Isfugle
(1983), Emma’s Shadow (1988), Guldregn (1988), The Boys From St. Petri
(1991), The Island On Bird Street (1997), Mifune (1999), Skagerrak (2003)
and What No One Knows (2008).
His films have won Danish Academy Awards for Best Film and his international
honours include the Unicef 1st Prize for Best Children’s Feature at the
1982 Berlin Film Festival for Rubber Tarzan, Special Jury Prize for Emma’s
Shadow at the 1990 Paris Film Festival, Golden Bear nomination at the 1997
Berlin Film Festival and 3 subsequent Emmy awards for The Island On Bird
Street, Grand Jury Silver Bear and Audience Award at the 1999 Berlin Film
Festival for Mifune and a Golden St. George nomination at the 2003 Moscow
International Film Festival for Skagerrak. What No One Knows screened at the
Berlinale’s panorama selection in 2008.Besides directing, Søren is a much
loved singer song writer with several successful albums to his credit.

Before his studies at the National Film School of Denmark in Copenhagen,
Lars enjoyed a successful 10-year career at the world’s largest container
shipping line Maersk Line, being stationed for 2 years in Manila and for 6
years in Tokyo during the 1980s. From 1991 to 1993 he worked in Danish
politics.
Lars has been producing for Nimbus Film since 1997. Over the years he
has worked with a number of Denmark’s strongest directors. Twice Lars has
produced in English language, namely on Thomas Vinterberg’s futuristic It's
All About Love starring Sean Penn, Claire Danes and Joaquin Phoenix and
on Søren Kragh-Jacobsen’s romantic comedy Skagerrak starring Iben Hjejle,
Martin Henderson, Ewen Bremner, Gary Lewis and Bronagh Gallagher. Lars’
latest feature comedy Superclasico by Ole Christian Madsen was shot on
location in Buenos Aires, Argentina partly in Danish, English and Spanish. It
went on to become a major local success being selected as Denmark’s 2011
pick for Best Foreign Language landing on the Academy’s 9-film short list
but regrettably not making the final cut. In 2008 Lars produced Ole Christian
Madsen’s WWII epic Flame & Citron which broke box office records in Denmark
and went on to be sold to more than 60 countries, including Japan, USA
and most of Europe. In 2006 Lars’ production A Soap by Pernille Fischer
Christensen picked up both the Berlinale Silver Bear while in 2008 Søren
Kragh-Jacobsen’s political paranoia thriller What No One Knows screened at
the Berlinale’s Panorama Selection. This year, on 25th September Lars starts
shooting Søren Kragh-Jacobsen’s new psychological drama The Hour of the
Lynx on locations in Denmark and Northern Sweden.
Lars speaks Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English, Japanese and some German

As our project is Japanese-Polish co-production the lab seems
perfect to deepen the knowledge about co-producing between Japan
and Europe. It would be a great opportunity to deepen my knowledge
about script development, financing, marketing and promotion in the
two regions, as well as the legal aspects of co-production. We are
currently in talks with a well-established producer from Japan but we
are still looking for co-producers, investors and Japanese distributor.

SYNOPSIS シノプシス
A struggling pianist Junichi (31) and his wife Yasuko(28) come to a
resort cottage in the mountains to bear their child. Both of them feel
excited about having their first baby, but at the same time they are
uncertain about practical problems.
One stormy evening, Yasuko goes to bathroom and comes back
without belly. The birth is planned for much later but the baby
disappears as if somebody has stolen it from her body. Nobody
believes the story or tries to help. Yasuko takes the hammer and
breaks the toilet into pieces. She insists on going underground to find
their baby.
Down there Yasuko and Junichi meet strange people who call
themselves Kappa (they are not monsters but look more like Eastern
European people and the surroundings remind somehow Polish
countryside…). They confirm that the baby is safe in their world.
Junichi and Yasuko feel relieved though everything seems bizzare
in this world. Things get more complicated when Kappa people ask
Junichi and Yasuko if they have their baby’s permission for the birth.
It turns out that in the world of Kappa babies decide whether to be
born or not. Only when the baby says “Yes, I want to be born”, the
parents can continue to bear the child. Of course, they don’t have
such permission, so they end up in the court for a trial.
In the court, their unborn baby sits in front of them with innocent eyes
and Yasuko and Junichi have to persuade it to be born. Initially when
they ask the baby “Do you want to be born?”, the baby just cries.
Yasuko and Junichi thought that love is enough to convince the baby
but they realize in this world babies want more. Some babies ask the
parents for more money for their education in future, some refuse to
be born because their parents look so ugly that they think their life
will be miserable.
Finally the couple takes a video camera and goes outside. They
decide to shoot the real world to show the baby how wonderful it is.
But the real world is not so beautiful as they thought. It is hard to
avoid showing something ugly and harsh.
Through all those struggles, Yasuko and Junichi start questioning if it
is really a good thing for their baby to be born in this tough world. Are
they prepared to have their baby?

プロのピアニストを目指す潤一（31）と妻の康子（28）は、出産のため
に上高地の別荘に来ている。2人とも子供を持つことを楽しみにしてい
るが、色々な問題が頭に浮かんで不安を拭いきれない。
ある嵐の日、康子がトイレに行って戻って来ると、お腹がすっかりへ
こんでいる。出産予定はまだまだ先のはずなのに、まるで盗まれたか
のように、お腹の赤ちゃんはすっかり姿を消してしまう。誰も信じてく
れないし助けてもくれない。康子はハンマーでトイレを破壊する。赤
ちゃんを見つけるために、下界にいかなければいけないといって聞か
ない康子。
Born in Toyohashi in Japan, Kei Ishikawa studied physics at Tohoku University
and directing at the Łód Film School. He was awarded a scholarship for
artists from the Japanese government. He has made several short films, which
screened at multiple festivals worldwide. His film Dear World received a special
prize in the prestigious competition of the Akira Kurosawa Foundation.

ロッパ人のような雰囲気でポーランドの田舎のような場所）。カッパは
Weronika Czolnowska obtained a Master of Arts in English Language and
Culture at the University of Lodz (Poland). She then pursued with postgraduate studies in Film Production at the Polish National Film, Television and
Theatre School and a course for creative producers at Andrzej Wajda Master
School of Directing. She also participated in the Bosch Foundation program:
Robert Bosh Stiftung- Co-Production Prize (in Stuttgart/Wiesbaden/Berlin
from January to April 2010) and in the “New Media and Digital Distribution
Strategies” training (in San Sebastian in September 2009).
She founded her production company, EasyBusy Productions, and began by
producing her first short film directed by Kei Ishikawa It’s All in the Fingers
(2009), and co-produced Frozen stories (2011) by Grzegorz Jaroszuk that was
premiered in Locarno and selected in Sundance. She then started working
on feature-films. She was liaison officer on Sanctuary (2011) directed by
Norah McGettigan, and now has two films in development: she is co-producer
of A Journey To Rome by Tomasz Mielnik. This last project has already
participated in the Baltic Sea Region-Japan Coproduction Forum in Vilnius
(November 2011), in the Tokyo Talent Campus (November 2011), in the Pitch
Stop (Cinema Total) at the Berlinale (February 2012), in the Film Producer
Workshop for Young International Talent organized by UNIJAPAN in Sapporo,
Japan (February 2012), and in the NHK-Sundance Script Lab 2012, before
being selected to take part in the ACE Co-production Lab in Japan (October
2012).
Since 2007, she has also been working for The Polish National Film, Television
and Theatre School in the marketing, promotion and distribution office as a
Distribution Manager.
らっているかとカッパに聞かれて、状況はさらに一転する。カッパ世界
では、赤ちゃん自身から生んでいいかどうかの許可がいるというのだ。
赤ちゃんが「はい　生まれたいです」と言ってはじめて両親は出産の準
備が出来る。そんな許可を持っていない潤一と康子は、カッパの法廷
で罪を問われることに。
法廷で、お腹の中にいた赤ちゃんが純真な眼で見つめる中、２人は生ま
れてくるように説得しようとする。最初は「生まれてきたい？」と聞いて
も、赤ちゃんはただ泣くばかり。
愛情さえあれば説得できると思っていた２人だが、赤ちゃんの要求は
色々ある。未来の教育費を先に要求する赤ちゃんもいれば、醜い両親の
子供として生まれ惨めな人生を送るのを拒否する赤ちゃんもいる。
潤一と康子は現実世界をビデオカメラにおさめて、いかに素晴らしい
かを赤ちゃんに見せようとする。しかし現実は彼らが思い描いたほど素
晴らしいものでもなく、厳しい現実を見せないわけにもいかなかった。
次第に本当に赤ちゃんをこの世に生むのが正しいことなのか、彼ら自
身が悩み始めてしまう。

潤一と康子は下界でカッパと自らを呼ぶ人々に出逢う（実際は東ヨー
２人に赤ちゃんは安全な場所にいると伝える。とりあえず安心する2人
愛知県豊橋に生まれる。
東北大学で物理学科を卒業後、
ポーランド国立映画大学
で映画制作を学ぶ。
文化庁の新進芸術家海外研修制度研修生。

同制作プライズ（ベルリンなどで開催）と、ニューメディアとデジタル配給戦略ト
レーニング
（2009 年 9 月にサンセバスチャンで開催）にも参加している。
その後、
EasyBusy Production を設立。石川慶監督による短編『It’
s All in the
Fingers』を初プロデュース。共同プロデュースしたグレゴル・ヤロスズック監
督『Frozen Stories』はロカルノ国際映画祭でプレミア上映され、サンダンス
映画祭でも上映された。それ以後、長編に携わり、ノラ・マクゲティギャン監督
『Sanctuary』にスタッフとして参加。他の作品も企画中。トマス・メルニック監督
『A Journey To Rome』の共同プロデューサーでもある。本企画は日本・バルト
海沿岸国共同制作フォーラム（2011年11月 )、東京タレントキャンパス（2011
年 11月）、ベルリン映画祭ピッチショップ（2012 年 2 月）、札幌にてユニジャ
パン主催で開催された Film Producer Workshop for Young International
Talent（2012 年 2 月）
、NHK- サンダンス脚本ラボ 2012 にてプレゼンされて
いる。2007年以降、ポーランド国立映画学校にて配給マネージャーを務めて
いる。
