日本甲状腺学会 会員各位 ～第 59 回日本甲状腺学会学術集会ニュースレターVol. 6～ Vol. 6 は、第 1 日目 11 月 3 日 (木) 11 時 10 分開催の国際分子甲状腺学シンポジウムをご紹介します。 紙幅の関係上外国人講師の先生は略歴のみのご紹介となります。 １）TSH 受容体異常症と分子メカニズム 隈病院 内科：西原 永潤先生 TSH 受容体の恒常的活性型変異は、過機能性甲状腺結節や非自己 免疫性甲状腺機能亢進症で同定される。変異によるアミノ酸置換や欠 失で、隣接したアミノ酸との相対的な位置・結合変化が生じ、リガンド 結合様の活性型立体構造になることが主要な分子メカニズムである。 そこで、新規 TSH 受容体変異が同定された際には、従来の in vitro 発 現実験に加え in silico 解析の評価も重要である。 ２）先天性中枢性甲状腺機能低下症の新たな成因 -IGSF1 異常症自治医科大学とちぎ子ども医療センター 小児科：田島 敏広先生 先天性の中枢性甲状腺機能低下症の原因として IGSF1 異常症を最近 同定しました。我々の検討ではその頻度は約1/50,000人であり、予想 異常に多いと考えられます。臨床的特徴、変異をレビューするととも に、現在行っている TSH 欠損を伴う複合型下垂体前葉ホルモン分泌 不全の成因の検討についても報告します。 【演者略歴】 １）長崎大学（H6 年卒） ２）医学博士・長崎大学（H11 年） ３）英語論文 77 編（筆頭著者 26 編） 日本甲状腺学会・第３回若手奨励賞（H18 年） 臨床内分泌代謝 Update・優秀演題賞（H19 年） 日本甲状腺学会・第 40 回七條賞（H23 年） ４）日本内分泌学会（評議員）、日本甲状腺学会（評議員） 日本内科学会、米国内分泌学会：臨床甲状腺 【演者略歴】 昭和 61 年 3 月 北海道大学医学部卒業 平成 2 年 4 月 東北大学理学部生物有機学講座研究生 平成 7 年 9 月～平成 10 年 7 月 米国国立衛生研究所 National Institute Of Child Health and Human Development リサーチフェロー 平成18年 北海道大学大学院医学研究科・病態制御学専攻・生殖発達医学 講座・小児発達医学分野・講師 平成 27 年 12 月 自治医科大学とちぎ子ども医療センター小児科教授 平成 4 年 医学博士 受賞歴：平成 17 年 1 月 第 78 回日本内分泌学会研究奨励賞 平成 19 年 11 月 日本小児内分泌学会 2007 年度学術賞 平成 28 年 3 月 第 16 回小児医学川野賞 所属学会：日本小児科学会専門医，日本内分泌学会専門医/指導医， 日本糖尿病学会，日本ステロイドホルモン学会，日本マス スクリーニング学会米国内分泌学会，アジアオセアニア小児 内分泌学会 ３）Molecular Mechanisms of Thyroid Hormone Action: Clinical Insights from Conditions of Reduced Thyroid Hormone Sensitivity David Geffen School of Medicine UCLA：Gregory A. Brent, MD 【演者略歴】 Dr. Brent is Professor of Medicine and Physiology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He received his clinical endocrinology training at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and completed a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research includes studies on the molecular mechanisms of thyroid hormone action and the regulation of iodine transport in hormone-dependent cancers. He has conducted clinical research in hypothyroidism and thyroid disease in pregnancy. He has published over 100 papers, reviews, and chapters, mostly on the action of thyroid hormone and thyroid diseases. He is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and Association of American Physicians. He has previously served the American Thyroid Association as Board Chair, Secretary/Chief Operating Officer and President. He has been recognized with the American Thyroid Association Van Meter, Ingbar, and Braverman Awards as well as the Endocrine Society Knoll Mentor Award. He is past chair of the National Institutes of Health, Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology Study Section. He has been on the editorial boards of Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Molecular Endocrinology, Thyroid and Endocrinology.
