It will help you know what you can afford, save you time when shopping so you stick to checking out cars in your price range, and will save a lot of heartache not having to walk away from a car you’ve fallen in love with but can’t afford. Visit www.citizens-cu. com and apply for your auto loan today. 2. Is a cash rebate or lower interest rate better? Buying a new car has become more enticing through low-interest financing deals and cash-back rebates. Though offers like 0% financing can sound enticing, these deals are typically limited to buyers with very good credit, and typically to select vehicles on a lot. Take the time to look at all your options. Before negotiating with a dealer, find and practice with an online loan calculator to crunch numbers and compare. You can access our auto loan calculator at www.citizens-cu.com and click on “Calculators” and “Auto Loans.” Our calculator will help you determine your monthly auto loan payment or your auto purchase price. After you’ve entered your current information, use the graph options to see how different loan terms or down payments can impact your monthly payment. You can also examine your complete amortization schedule by clicking on the “View Report” button. 3. Financing a car with Your Credit Union After battling for the best deal and negotiating through car sales lingo, there are several different ways you can finance your car. Through a credit union, you’ll get competitive rates, personal service, and no dealer high pressure or sales pitch for add-ons. We’re looking out for your best interest, not theirs. When you’re ready to buy a new or used car, preparing in advance can help the process go much more smoothly. Put yourself in the driver’s seat today by getting pre-approved for an auto loan through Citizens CCU. At Citizens Community Credit Union, we take safeguarding your personal and financial information very seriously and want to ensure a safe mobile banking experience for all our members. Here are a few simple tips to help protect your information as you track your finances on-the-go: Before you log into your banking account, make sure you’re not connected to the public network. If you’re using a smartphone or other cellular device, disabling the Wi-Fi and switching to a cellular network is a good solution. You never know who might be lurking in the public network. 1. Don’t Follow Links Download You should never follow a banking link sent to you in a text message or e-mail. These links could potentially lead you to a fake Web site where thieves can easily gain access to your sensitive data and information. It’s always a good idea to navigate to a Web site directly by using your bank’s specific Web address. Mobile devices are less prone to malware attacks than computers, but you should still be careful when downloading all apps. Make sure the app developer has a good reputation before downloading that next game or widget. Reminder: you should never send your account information or password via text message or e-mail. It’s a common scam for thieves to send out bogus requests for such information. Don’t fall for it! 2. Avoid Banking While on Public Networks Many places offer free public Wi-Fi, but keep in mind that public connections aren’t always secure. 3. Be Careful of What You 4. Use the Official Citizens Community Credit Union App The Citizens Mobile Banking App is the easiest and most convenient way to securely access your account information. We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure any information sent across a network by our app is encrypted and safe for our members to utilize. Enroll in online banking on our Web site and download the app today on your iPhone® or Android™ device by searching CCCU Mobile App’ in the iTunes app store or Google Play store.
