Have you ever seen dogs in restaurants, hotels or trains? They may be “helper
dogs”. “Helper dogs” are guide dogs, ①service dogs and hearing-assistance dogs.
②They are well trained to assist people with special needs. A guide dog stops at
street crossings and in front of steps to warn its owner of the danger ahead. A service
dog can open a door, press a button, and pick up and carry things.
