The North Country Health Consortium is
a rural health network, created in 1997,
as a vehicle for addressing common
issues through collaboration among
health and human service providers
serving northern NH.
Through “Live, Learn, Play in Northern
New Hampshire” , a program of the
North Country Health Consortium,
health professional students will
receive quality training experiences in
rural medically underserved areas

throughout northern New Hampshire.

Experience
“Live, Learn, Play in Northern New Hampshire”
offers health professional students an enhanced
clinical rotation or internship experience in
rural underserved areas. Each participant will
have an assigned clinical site, a community
mentor and receive support from program staff.
Why Participate?


Learn about the public health issues that
impact the delivery of care to rural underserved populations and about the utilization
of the collaborative integrated care model in
those rural areas.
Become part of the community by working
with a mentor to complete a community
service project.

Experience the scenic beauty and outdoor
recreation opportunities northern NH has to
offer!

Receive a modest stipend (up to $2,000) for
living expenses, housing, transportation, etc.

Meet, live and learn with other students
interested in rural health.
