Mounting Gyro on the helicopter. Avoid mounting in the hot air outlet of the engine or in
the flow of exhaust from the engine

Set-up and installation of Gyro

Turn on the power of remote control
Set remote control switch to Head Lock mode
Turn on the power of receiver, do not move Gyro or helicopter (about 7 seconds) before
Gyro LED light turns red. This will influence the set-up
If using a 6 CH remote Gain control can by set by the Gyro Gain setting in the transmitter
GAIN with the 4 CH remote control is controlled by VR1 NOTE: Gain on the 4 CH the Gyro
lead with the single wire needs to connect to a ground pin on the receiver
Reset the central point of the tail. Toggle the Head Hold switch on the transmitter quickly at
least 2 times finally stopping in Head Lock mode

Adjustment before operation
1.
Disconnect the motor wires for safety
2.
In rate mode, move the rudder stick on the transmitter to the left, the pitch slider should
move the tail pitch slider and blades to the right if it doesn’t adjust the rudder channel in the
transmitter so the direction of the pitch slider moves to the right.

Hold the model and move the nose counterclockwise, the tail pitch slider should move to
the right if not turn the reverse switch on the Gyro to the opposite end of travel.

In rate mode if you find the tail is drifting to one side or the other adjust the tail servo mount
or the tail operating rod to eliminate the drift don’t use trim adjustments to eliminate the
drifting.

If the tail shakes when in Head Hold adjust the Gain on the transmitter down, it the tail is
loose adjust the gain up, 6 Channel, 4 Channel adjust the gain on the Gyro

ATV adjustment, switch to Head Hold and move the transmitter rudder stick slowly to one
side and watch that the pitch slider doesn’t collide if it does adjust the Limit V2 so that it
doesn’t collide. Clockwise increases the travel, counter clockwise decreases the travel.

Method of installing the gyroscope:
Please mount the gyro vertically as per the image below, MKS GY-292 GYRO. The
gyroscope can also be mounted on the side of the fuselage.
