BI 10 Troubleshooting Tips

BI Query 10 Troubleshooting
The first time a user goes into each model in BI 10, they may see the following error message:
Click "OK".
Click "OK".
Close the window and go to Host > Connections.

Choose the Data model radio button and click the browse button across from it.
Choose c:\DWModels\Connections (if you saved the data models in a different location than the default,
go there and choose that Connections folder).

Click "Close". Then do File > Save.
Close the model. Then reopen it.
The login dialog box should open automatically. Test the connection by logging in with either the test
User ID or have the user log in with their own User ID and password.
If the connection is successful, you can test the connection by clicking on the "News" button on the
home page of the model. Here's an example for the location of the "News" button in the Humres model.

Running the News report should bring up a window similar to this one if the connection was successful.
Close the window and close BI Query User.
