Determined by student’s program/major/school. QL readiness is achieved by a QL readiness score of 9 or above on the Math Placement/QL Exam or by a passing grade in a 100 Level Math course. WRITING COMPETENCY (3 credits) Must be met by all students before taking a Writing Intensive course. CAPSTONE/E-PORTFOLIO Writing Competency is achieved by fulfilling one of the following: WRTG 10600/transfer equivalent OR ICSM with a 108xx or 118xx designation OR AP credit (4,5) English Language & Composition OR English Literature & Composition ATTRIBUTES: Some programs/majors specify specific courses for the CLA. Students in H & S may fulfill through a minor, a second major, a foreign language sequence, or a self-designed suite of courses. CAPSTONE (CP) 0-4 credits Capstone will be in the student’s major and determined by the program. E-PORTFOLIO 0 credits — artifacts from ICC courses Must take one each of QL, WI, DV designated course. Attributes MAY be fulfilled by courses in a student’s Major or Minor, by Electives or by Perspectives courses. A course may be applied to more than one attribute. Quantitative Literacy (QL) 3 credits Writing Intensive (WI) QL score of 9 or above on the Math Competency/ QL Exam or a passing grade in a 100 level math course is required prior to taking a QL course.
