List of requisite documents
Visa application form duly filled out and signed by applicant.
Two recent photographs in colour (passport-size and white background) of head
on, with the uncovered head for gentleman.

Passport valid up to 6 months after the expiry of the visa and at least 2
blank pages.
o Previous passports covering the last 7 years or, if none, certificate of
movements issued by the Mogamma.
o Copy of the passport page containing holder’s data and those mentioning
an extension of validity.
o Copies of any previous and current visa (if applicable).
“Dichiarazione di Valore” (Declaration of Value) of the applicant’s educational
certificates duly legalized by the Consular office of the Embassy of Italy in
Cairo. The Italian Institution or School should advise the Embassy directly in
case it is not required.
Education Certificates duly legalized by the Consular Office of the Embassy
of Italy in Cairo.
Acceptance of enrolment by the Italian School or Institution, stating the
duration of course
Receipt of full payment of Tuition fees (if required)
Documentation regarding the applicant’s economic status:
1.- University Courses or Post graduated courses :
Proof of means of support in Italy of not less than350,57 Euro for each month of the
academic year.This availability can be proven through Bank Statement of applicant or
family.
2.- Scholarship from Italian Government :
Proof of scholarship in original.
Where the amount of the scholarship does not satisfy the minimum established by law
the availability can be proven through Bank Statement of applicant or family
3.- Non University courses :
a) Adequate financial guarantees covering the expenses for the duration of stay
b) adequate means for repatriation OR return flight ticket or booking (for courses for
period up to 90 days)
Travel assistance policy of a duration equal to that requested for visa, valid for
all the countries of the Schengen space, that covers the medical expenses and of
repatriation in case of accident or disease (minimum cover: € 30.000).
(For visa requested more than 90 days)
The applicant has to submit his/her original (not scanned) admission letter
stapled with the passport.
At the time of collection of the passport applicant has to make sure that the
admission letter or the declaration letter by the university is duly stamped by
the Embassy
Adequate proof of Boarding and Lodging (if required)
Remarks
A return flight ticket or booking (for courses up to 90 days)

- an application without a complete set of documentation according to the above mentioned checklist may result in a rejection of
my visa application.
- The Embassy of Italy in Cairo reserves the right 1) to ask for an additional supporting document and this however does not
guarantee the issue of visa, 2) to summon me for an interview.
