Roseburg, Ore. - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is continuing to utilize cattle to graze approximately 230 acres within the North Bank Habitat Management Area (NBHMA) beginning in late March 2012. The NBHMA is situated approximately six miles northwest of Glide, Oregon, along North Bank Road. The grazing project is an effort to assess grazing as a practical tool to improve forage for the Columbian white-tailed deer.
Roseburg, Ore. - It's that time of year for students to sign up for the 25th annual Resources and People (RAP) Camp, held the week of June 12 at Camp Esther Applegate, located at Lake of the Woods, Oregon. Applications are now being accepted from students between the ages of 13 to18 from both rural and urban areas.

Roseburg, Ore. - Another year's campaign is done, and another fantastic year of sharing for local and nationwide charities by the employees of the BLM's Roseburg District Office. During the six-week Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) that ran from October through November, 2013, BLM Roseburg employees raised $28,791.50 for local, national, and international non-profit organizations, surpassing last year's donations of $25,562.75. These funds were gathered through creative employee-driven events such as a coin drive, balloon bust with fabulous prizes, a flea market, breakfast burritos, a bake sale and the grand finale of the CFC Auction.
