Roseburg, OR - The Bureau of Land Management has announced that the Tyee Campground, located 12 miles west of Sutherlin off of Highway 138, will be closed to overnight camping between December 8, 2008 and March 13, 2009. The day-use area and the adjacent parking area, as well as one restroom facility, will remain open throughout the winter months. No fees will be charged to use the day-use area. Full or partial closure will depend on the type of work being done on the particular day. The closed portions of the sites will be signed closed or blocked off from public use. Foot traffic and parking will be allowed outside of the closed areas. The sites are expected to reopen June 19, 2010.
