Već nekoliko godina Hrvatski hrvački savez kontinuirano implementira pametnu
strategiju razvoja hrvanja koja malo po malo počinje davati interesantne plodove
tog rada.
Prvi rezultati te strategije vidljivi su po uspjesima hrvatskih hrvača koji se natječu
s najboljim hrvačkim zemljama svijeta. Sada je slijedeći korak u toj strategiji
organizacija važnih događaja u FILA međunarodnom kalendaru.
Prvenstvo Europe u hrvanju za juniore koje će se održati u Zagrebu 2012. godine
u tri olimpijske discipline jedan je od takvih važnih događaja u kalendaru FILA koji
će doprinijeti daljnjem napretku Hrvatskog hrvačkog saveza i koji će dati priliku
mladim hrvatskim hrvačima da se natječu s najboljim europskim juniorima.
Za FILA nema nikakve sumnje da će Organizacijski odbor Prvenstva zajedno sa
volonterima entuzijastima osigurati svim sudionicima Prvenstva topao i prijateljski
doček i boravak u veličanstvenom gradu Zagrebu.
Želim Vam puno uspjeha na Prvenstvu Europe u hrvanju za juniore u 2012.
olimpijskoj godini.

Message by FILA President
For some years the Croatia Wrestling Federation has implemented a policy to
develop wrestling which little by little begins to bear interesting fruits.
These results become a reality first for the wrestlers who can compete in certain
categories of age and weight with the best countries in the world. Then this
policy comprises the organization of important events of the FILA international
calendar.
The 2012 Juniors European championship in the 3 Olympic styles is part of these
events which contribute to the renown of the whole country and allow the young
Croatian wrestlers to compete peacefully with the European youth.
It is doubtless for FILA that the organizing committee and the enthusiastic and
passionate volunteers in charge of this championship in the magnificent city of
Zagreb will do their utmost to give the participants a warm and friendly welcome.
I wish you all a lot of success in the Junior European championships in the 2012
Olympic year.

Dame i gospodo,
Sa velikim zadovoljstvom mogu konstatirati da se lista organizatora službenih
natjecanja FILA obogatila novim imenom - prekrasnim Zagrebom. Ovaj grad biti će
domaćin mladim hrvačicama i hrvačima Europe i ovim potvrđuje želju Hrvatske i
njenog Nacionalnog hrvačkog saveza da igra aktivnu ulogu u razvoju ovog sporta.
Hrvatska ima višegodišnju tradiciju u hrvanju. Ona je osnova na kojoj su hrvači
ove zemlje postigli dobre rezultate u posljednjih nekoliko godina. Sa njihovim
uspjesima na strunjačama diljem svijeta najavljuju svoju namjeru da postanu
čimbenik u raspodjeli naslova i medalja na prvenstvima Europe i Svijeta, kao i na
Olimpijskim igrama. Sve su to razlozi zbog kojih vjerujemo da će hrvatski hrvači
proširiti stečene pozicije.
U 2012., olimpijskoj godini, u Zagrebu će se nadmetati djevojke i mladići.
Vidjeti ćemo prve korake, ambicije i mogućnosti jedne nove generacije hrvača,
predodređenih da brane prestiž i pozicije hrvanja u europskom i svjetskom
sportu. Oni će pokazati svoje fizičke, tehničke, voljne i moralne mogućnosti i
trasirati nove trendove u njegovom razvoju. Organizacija, odlični uvjeti i ljubazno
gostoprimstvo, koje će osigurati Hrvatska i njen Nacionalni hrvački savez, tome će
mnogo doprinijeti.
Svim sudionicima i gostima prvenstva, svim ljubiteljima i prijateljima hrvanja u
Hrvatskoj, želim mnogo uspjeha i pozitivnih emocija. Siguran sam da ćemo biti
svjedoci moderne europske sportske priredbe.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I can say with great pleasure that the list of the organizers of the official competitions of
FILA and CELA has been enriched with a new name - that of beautiful Zagreb. Your city
will provide the hospitality to young European wrestlers, and it will confirm the desire of
Croatian wrestling federation to play an active role in the development of our sport.
Croatia has a long wrestling tradition. This is the basis on which wrestlers in this country
have achieved good results in recent years. With their success on the international level,
they announce their intention to become a factor in the distribution of titles and medals
at European and World Championships and the Olympic Games. There is no reason for
us to doubt they will do their best to improve their position on the worldwide scale.
In 2012, the Olympic year, young boys and girls will compete in Zagreb. We will see the
first steps, ambitions and possibilities of a new generation of wrestlers, predestined
to defend the prestige and position of wrestling in European and world sport. They will
demonstrate their physical strength, technical skills and their wish and will to trace new
trends in the development of our sport. The excellent organization, perfect conditions
and gracious hospitality provided by Croatia and its National wrestling federation will
help a lot.
I wish a lot of success and positive emotions to all participants and guests of the
championship and to all fans and friends of wrestling in Croatia. I am confident that we
will witness a great modern European sporting event.

Poštovani prijatelji,
Pozdravljam Vas u ime jedne male zemlje i male hrvačke federacije, koja ima dugu
tradiciju i veliko hrvačko srce.
Naša zemlja nalazi se na pragu ulaska u Europsku uniju, gdje povijesno,
zemljopisno i ekonomski oduvijek i pripadamo.
Izuzetna nam je čast i zadovoljstvo što nas je međunarodna hrvačka organizacija
FILA odabrala za organizatora Prvenstva Europe za juniore upravo u ovom
trenutku, povijesnom za hrvatski narod, te nam na taj način omogućila
predstavljanje naše zemlje i glavnog grada Zagreba cijeloj Europi i svijetu.
Velika hvala FILA i njenom Predsjedniku, g. Raphaelu Martinettiju.
Potrudit ćemo se da se svi učesnici predstojećeg događaja u našoj zemlji osjećaju

Dear friends,
I warmly welcome you on behalf of a small country and a small wrestling federation, but
a country with long wrestling tradition and a big wrestling heart.
Today our country is at the doorstep of European Union, where it belongs historically,
geographically and culturally.
We are deeply honoured and pleased with the fact that International Wrestling
Federation FILA has chosen our country to be the host to European Junior Wrestling
Championship at this historical moment for our nation, allowing us to present our city
and country to whole Europe and to the world.
Therefore, we say a big „Thank you” to FILA and its President, Raphael Martinetti!
We will try to do our best to make all participants feel comfortable in our city and we
believe to be able to provide excellent working conditions for all the competitors and

Poštovani sportaši i sudionici
juniorskog prvenstva Europe,
Grad Zagreb se do sada nebrojeno puta dokazao kao uzoran domaćin velikih
međunarodnih sportskih priredbi. Sportaši i sudionici iz Hrvatske i svijeta
uglavnom su nosili samo lijepe uspomene, a stručnjaci su davali najviše ocjene
organizatorima. Nedvojbeno, jedna od takvih sportskih priredbi je i ovogodišnje
Prvenstvo Europe u hrvanju za juniore.
S obzirom da će na natjecanju nastupiti i ponajbolji zagrebački i hrvatski hrvači,
zajamčeni su nam zanimljivi mečevi u kojima će hrvači uživo pokazati svoje
borilačke vještine i talent, a Zagrepčanima i našim gostima pružiti istinski sportski
užitak.
Zahvaljujem se organizatoru na iznimnom angažmanu i kvalitetnoj pripremi ovog
međunarodnog turnira u posebno lijepom ugođaju kojeg pruža Ledena dvorana
Doma sportova.

Junior Wrestling Championship,
The city of Zagreb has so far been an exemplary host to big international
sport events whose participants have always had nice memories of and whose
organizers have always been given highest marks by experts. There is no doubt
the 2012 European Junior Wrestling Championship in Zagreb will be one of such
great sport events.
Since our best wrestlers will take part in the competition alongside best
European wrestlers, we may guarantee utmost pleasure for both spectators and
participants.
I wish to express my thanks to the Organizer for the great effort and quality
preparation of this International event which will take place in the exceptional
ambient of the big Hall of Sports.
I also wish plenty of success in fair play competition to all the athletes and a
pleasant and memorable stay in Zagreb to all our dear quests from the country

Dragi prijatelji hrvačkog športa,
dobro došli u Zagreb i Hrvatsku.
Dobro došli na Prvenstvo Europe u hrvanju za juniore 2012. i hvala vam što ste se
pridružili tisućama europskih hrvača koji su prošli kvalifikacije u svojoj zemlji da bi
mogli sudjelovati na ovom Prvenstvu u Zagrebu, u Hrvatskoj.
Želim da se ugodno osjećate u našem gradu Zagrebu, hrvatskoj metropoli, čiji
stanovnici neizmjerno cijene velika sportska događanja, a Prvenstvo Europe za
juniore je jedno od takovih događanja.
Hrvatska je možda mala zemlja, no mi Hrvati smo oduvijek voljeli šport. Živimo za
naše športove, među njima i za hrvanje koje se u Hrvatskoj organizirano provodi
više od sto godina. Premda Hrvatska nije dugo neovisna država, naši sportski
uspjesi su neosporni. Uspješni smo u mnogim sportovima, no isto tako smo se u
mnogim prilikama dokazali i kao dobri organizatori velikih sportskih događaja.
Ipak, Hrvatskoj dosad još nije pripala čast da organizira europsko hrvačko
prvenstvo kao neovisna država. Uvjeravamo vas da nećemo pokvariti našu dobru
reputaciju odličnih organizatora velikih sportskih priredbi.
Želim vam ugodan boravak u našem gradu, uz ugodna sportska druženja i
nadasve sportski uspjeh, koji će vas poticati da se ponovno vraćate u Zagreb, kao
sportaši ili putnici željni novih vidika.

Welcome to European Junior Wrestling Championship 2012 and thank you for
joining thousands of young European wrestlers who have passed qualifications in
their countries to be able to participate in this Championship in Zagreb, in Croatia.
I would like you to feel comfortable in our city of Zagreb, the Croatian capital
whose residents truly enjoy big sport events and this Championship is surely one
of these.
Croatia may be a small country, but we, Croats, have always loved sport. We live
for our sports and so we do for wrestling which has more than a 100- year-old
tradition in Croatia. Although our country is relatively young as an independent
country, our sport achievements are unquestionable in many sports. Besides, we
have proved to be excellent organizers of many sport events. However, Croatia
has never had the honour of organizing European Wrestling Championship. Please
be assured that we will not spoil our good reputation as excellent organizers of
major sporting events.
I wish you a very pleasant stay in our city, a lot of sport success during the
competition and many good memories of Zagreb. May these inspire you to return
to Zagreb, either as sportsmen or mere travellers looking for new horizons.

O hrvanju u Hrvatskoj
Dragi gosti,
dolazite u grad i državu gdje su još daleke 1874. godine zabilježene prve hrvačke aktivnosti u sokolskim
društvima. Nakon 1905. godine elementi hrvanja ušli su u satove tjelesnog vježbanja u svim školama Hrvatske
kao obvezna građa.
Prvi osnivač i utemeljitelj teškoatletskog sporta u Hrvatskoj bio je grafički strojar Maks Leidinger, koji je 26.
prosinca 1905. godine u Zagrebu osnovao hrvački klub Atlas, čiji je sportski slijednik današnji Hrvatski hrvački
savez (HHS), kao nacionalni savez hrvačkog športa u Republici Hrvatskoj.
Hrvatski hrvački savez je utemeljen u Zagrebu 1949. godine, da bi nakon osamostaljenja Hrvatske postao
punopravan član FILA 1992. godine.
Hrvatsko hrvanje u bivšoj državi imalo je svoje asove; kroz rad u sportskim školama i kampovima prošli su
mnogi kvalitetni hrvači kao Bernard Ban, Davor Brozović, Emil Trauber, Davor Lukić, Josip Pavišić, Stipe
Damjanović, Mario Miketek i Tomislav Vukelić.
Ipak, svakako treba izdvojiti i zapamtiti Vladu Lisjaka, olimpijskog pobjednika 1984. godine u Los Angelesu,
Slavka Koletića, osvajača srebrne medalje sa svjetskog prvenstva 1970. godine iz Edmontona, Karla Čovića,
osvajača srebrne medalje s europskog prvenstva iz Modene 1969. godine i Josipa Čorka, osvajača srebrne
medalja na OI u Münchenu 1972. godine, najuspješnijeg hrvača Hrvatske i u seniorskoj i u veteranskoj
kategoriji.
Danas možemo ponosno reći da su uz naše seniore, osvajače europskih i svjetskih medalja, braću Žugaj i
Tonimira Sokola, također tu i vrlo kvalitetni hrvači; Ivan Lizatović, Danijel Janečić, Božo Starčević, Siniša
Hogač, Antun Đok, Marko Koščević,… pa sjajni 19-godišnji Dominik Etlinger, svjetski juniorski vice-prvak a prije
toga i kadetski prvak Europe. Tu je i brončani sa kadetskog Prvenstva Europe, mladi Kristijan Šimatić i drugi,
pa možemo zaključiti da se ne trebamo bojati za budućnost hrvatskog hrvanja.

About wrestling in Croatia
Dear guests,
You are arriving to the city and state where first organized wrestling activities were recorded in sports
societies in 1874. Since 1905 elements of wrestling have become part of regular physical education in all
Croatian schools.
Max Leidinger, a graphic engineer, was the first founder of wrestling association in Croatia.
On December 26th, 1905 he founded Atlas wrestling club, whose successor today is HHS, the Croatian
Wrestling Association, the national federation in charge of wrestling in Croatia. It was founded in Zagreb
in 1949 and after Croatian independence became a full member of FILA in 1992.
Croatian wrestling had already had its stars in the former country, when Croatia was a constituent part
of ex Yugoslavia. Many quality wrestlers who went through sport schools, training camps and clubs left
their mark in the history of Croatian wrestling, just to mention a few; Bernard Ban, Davor Brozović, Emil
Trauber, Davor Lukić, Josip Pavišić, Stipe Damjanović, Mario Miketek and Tomislav Vukelić.
However, we must single out Vlado Lisjak, the 1984 Olympic Champion in Los Angeles, Slavko Koletić, the
silver medalist at the 1970 World Championship in Edmonton, Karlo Čović, the silver medalist at the 1969
European Championship in Modena and Josip Čorak, the silver medalist at the 1972 Olympic Games in
Munich, the most successful Croatian wrestler in the senior and veteran category.
Today we are proud not only of our senior medalists at World and European Championships Neven and
Nenad Žugaj and Tonimir Sokol, but also of a whole new generation of excellent wrestlers such as Ivan
Lizatović, Danijel Janečić, Božo Starčević, Siniša Hogač, Anton Đok, Marko Koščević. There is a brilliant
19-year- old Dominik Etlinger, the World junior silver medalist and former European cadet champion and
young Kristijan Šimatić, a bronze medalist at European Cadet Championship. With so many talented young
wrestlers, we need not fear the future of Croatian wrestling.

Josip Čorak
Najuspješniji hrvatski hrvač u seniorskoj i veteranskoj kategoriji svakako je Josip Čorak, osvajač srebrne
medalje na Olimpijskim Igrama u Munchenu 1972. godine.
Rođen je u Rastokama kod Gospića 1943. godine, a hrvanjem se počeo baviti 1958. godine u Gospiću. 1960.
godine dolazi u Zagreb gdje nastavlja svoju uspješnu i dugačku športsku karijeru.
Od najvažnijih sportskih rezultata izdvajamo: 15 puta prvak Hrvatske, 12 puta prvak Jugoslavije,
jedna zlatna i dvije srebrne medalje na prvenstvima Mediterana, zlatna i brončana medalja na europskim
prvenstvima (pojedinačno), dvije brončane medalje na svjetskim, dvije na europskim prvenstvima te dvije
brončane na mediteranskim prvenstvima (ekipno), te već spomenuta srebrna medalja na OI 1972. godine.
Nastavak impresivne sportske karijere slijedi na veteranskim svjetskim prvenstvima; u razdoblju od 1995.
- 2005. godine Josip Čorak osvojio je 11 zlatnih medalja i naslove svjetskog veteranskog prvaka u grčkorimskom i slobodnom načinu hrvanja, po čemu je i danas svjetski rekorder.
2010. godine dodijeljena mu je nagrada za životno djelo „Franjo Bučar” - najviše priznanje koje Republika
Hrvatska dodjeljuje za iznimna postignuća i doprinos od osobitog značenja za razvoj sporta u Republici
Hrvatskoj.

Promoters of the Championship
The most successful Croatian wrestler in senior and veteran category is certainly Josip Čorak, the
silver medalist at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.
He was born in Rastoke, a small village near Gospić in 1943 and he began practicing wrestling in 1958.
In 1960 he moved to Zagreb, where he has continued his long and successful career.
His sports achievement highlights are; 15 times Croatian champion, 12 times the champion of
Yugoslavia, one gold and two silver medals at the Mediterranean championships, a gold and a bronze
medal at the European Championships (singles), two bronze medals at the World and European
championships, two bronze at medals at the Mediterranean championships (team), and the already
mentioned silver medal at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich.
Josip Čorak continued his distinguished athletic career at the World Veteran Championships, where in
the period from 1995 to 2005 he won 11 gold medals and titles of World Veteran Champion in GrecoRoman and freestyle wrestling. Due to these impressive record achievements he is still today the world
record holder.
In 2010 he was awarded the lifetime achievement award „Franjo Bucar” - the highest award that the
Republic of Croatia awards for outstanding achievements and contributions of special importance for
the development of sport in the Republic of Croatia.

Vlado Lisjak
Vlado Lisjak spada u red hrvatskih olimpijskih velikana. 1984. godine, na Olimpijskim igrama u Los Angelesu,
ovjenčan je najvećom mogućom slavom - iz SAD-a kući je donio zlatnu olimpijsku medalju u hrvanju grčkorimskim načinom.
Vlado Lisjak rođen je 1962. godine u Petrinji, gdje se 1972. godine, kao 10-godišnji dječak počeo baviti
hrvanjem i odmah pokazao veliku nadarenost.
U svim uzrasnim kategorijama ostvarivao je uspješne rezultate: 3. mjesto na Svjetskom prvenstvu
za juniore do 18 godina, 1980. godine u Colorado Springsu (USA), 2. mjesto na Balkanskom prvenstvu za
omladince do 20 godina, 1981. godine u Puli, 3. mjesto na Svjetskom prvenstvu za omladince do 20 godina,
1981. godine u Vancouveru (CAN), 4. mjesto na Svjetskom prvenstvu za seniore, 1982. godine u Katowicama
(POL), te najveći uspjeh, 1. mjesto na Olimpijskim igrama u Los Angelesu (USA).
Trenersku karijeru započeo je 1993. godine kao profesionalni trener Hrvatske hrvačke reprezentacije za sve
uzrasne skupine, koja je trajala puna četiri mandata, sve do 2009. godine kada je imenovan za direktora
reprezentacije, funkciju koju obnaša i danas.
Uzevši u obzir masovnost i jaku konkurenciju u svijetu, te vječite skučene financijske uvjete, stvorio je jaku
standardnu državnu reprezentaciju u svim uzrasnim skupinama s kojima je postigao zapažene rezultate
osvojivši medalje na Europskim prvenstvima, Svjetskim vojnim igrama i Mediteranskim igrama. Kao sportaš
i trener stekao je veliki ugled u međunarodnoj hrvačkoj federaciji, a od početka svog zaposlenja aktivno je
sudjelovao u radu HOO-a, gdje je osam godina bio član Komisije za unapređenje sporta i olimpijske igre, član
Skupštine HOO-a i član Kluba olimpijaca, te je tako i nakon završetka aktivne sportske karijere cijeli svoj život
posvetio razvoju i unapređenju hrvačkog sporta.

Promoters of the Championship
Vlado Lisjak is one of the Croatian Olympic greats. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles he
was awarded the highest possible glory - he brought home the Olympic gold medal in Greco-Roman
wrestling.
Vlado Lisjak was born in Petrinja in 1962. As a 10-year-old boy he took up wrestling and immediately
showed his great talent.
He achieved exceptional results in all age categories: 3rd place at the 1980 World Junior
Championship in Colorado Springs, 2nd place at the 1981 Balkan Youth Championship in Pula, 3rd place
at the 1981 World Youth Championship in Vancouver, 4th place at the 1982 World Senior Championship
in Katowice, and the greatest success - 1st place at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
He began his coaching career in 1993 as a the Croatian national team coach (for all age categories), the
work he held for four terms until 2009 when he was appointed National Team Director, the function he
still holds today.
Despite tough global competition and permanently tight local financial conditions, he has managed to
create a strong national team in all age groups, with whom he achieved outstanding results winning
medals at the European Championships, World Military Games and Mediterranean Games. As an athlete
and a coach, he has gained a great reputation in the international wrestling circles. From the beginning
of his professional work in wrestling he actively participated in the Croatian Olympic Committee where
for eight years he was a member of the Commission for the promotion of sport and Olympic Games.
He is currently a member of the Assembly of the Olympic Committee and a member of the Club of
Olympians. Although he ended his active sports career, he is still devoted to the development and
improvement of wrestling in Croatia.

Neven i Nenad Žugaj
Braća blizanci Neven i Nenad Žugaj najistaknutiji su predstavnici novije generacije uspješnih
hrvatskih i zagrebačkih hrvača.
Rođeni su 19.04.1983. godine u Zagrebu. Hrvanjem se bave od svoje 10 godine života. Završili su
Sportsku gimnaziju te kasnije Kineziološki fakultet u Zagrebu. Oboje su danas aktivni hrvači i stalni
reprezentativci. Neven nastupa u kategoriji do 74 kilograma, a Nenad do 84 kilograma, oboje su
članovi hrvačkog kluba HK LIKA iz Zagreba. Višestruki su prvaci Hrvatske u svim uzrasnim skupinama,
od dječaka i kadeta, preko juniora do seniora.
Neven je osvajač prve hrvatske medalje nakon osamostaljenja. Okitio se brončanom medaljom na
prvenstvu Europe 2005. godine. Jedini je hrvatski hrvač s naslovom svjetskog vojnog prvaka (2008.
godina)! Najdraža mu je pobjeda nad aktualnim olimpijskim pobjednikom, te aktualnim prvakom
Europe!
Nenad se također može između ostalog pohvaliti pobjedama nad aktualnim olimpijskim pobjednikom,
svjetskim prvakom, viceprvakom svijeta te prvakom Europe. U dosadašnjoj karijeri najjače sjaje
svjetska bronca iz Moskve 2010. i mediteransko zlato iz Pescare 2009.
Braža Žugaj su danas, kao i Josip Čorak i Vlado Lisjak nekada, uzori novim mladim nadama hrvatskog
hrvanja.
Neven i Nenad Žugaj aktivni su časnici hrvatske vojske i zaposlenici Oružanih snaga RH.

The Žugaj brothers
Twin brothers Neven and Nenad Žugaj are the most prominent representatives of the new generation of
successful Croatian and Zagreb wrestlers.
They were born in Zagreb on April 19th, 1983. They have been practicing wrestling since they were 10
years old. They have completed sports high school and later graduated from the University of Zagreb,
Sports Department. They are both active wrestlers and regular members of the National team. Neven
competes in the category up to 74 kg and Nenad up to 84 kg. Both are members of HK Lika, wrestling club
from Zagreb. They are multiple national champions in all age groups, from boys, cadets and juniors to
seniors.
Neven was the winner of the first Croatian senior medal after independence, a bronze medal at the 2005
European Senior Championship in Varna. He is the only Croatian wrestler with a title of the world military
champion (2008)! His most favourite victories are the recent ones over the current Olympic and European
champion!
Nenad too is proud of victories over the current Olympic champion, the world champion and vicechampion, and the European champion. His best results so far are a bronze medal at the 2010 World
Senior Championship in Moscow and a gold medal at the 2009 Mediterranean Games in Pescara.
Today the Žugaj brothers are new role models for young Croatian wrestlers as Josip Čorak and Vlado
Lisjak were in the past.
Both Neven and Nenad Žugaj are active officers in the Croatian Army.

Dvorana i smještaj
Ledena dvorana Doma Sportova je multi-funkcionalna sportska dvorana kapaciteta 10.000 sjedala
koja raspolaže sa svim neophodnim pomoćnim objektima; dvoranama za trening, svlačionicama,
saunom i prostorom za press službu. Locirana je samo 100m od hotela „Four Points by Sheraton
Panorama Zagreb”, hotela sa 4 zvjezdice koji će ugostiti sve sudionike Prvenstva (sportaše, suce,
trenere i ostale sudionike). Hotel raspolaže sa 280 moderno uređenih dvokrevetnih soba koje
imaju satelitsku TV i besplatan pristup širokopojasnom Internetu, te s nekoliko barova, restorana i
dvorana za sastanke. Ljetno plivalište i bazen pokraj hotela biti će na raspolaganju sudionicima. Svi
obroci biti će posluživani u hotelu po principu švedskog stola. Ovaj odličan hotel je udaljen samo 15
minuta hoda od glavnog gradskog trga i okružen je mnoštvom kafića i restorana.
Članovi biroa FILA i CELA imat će maksimalan komfor i uvjete za sastanke u luksuznom hotelu s
5 zvjezdica „Westin Zagreb”, smještenom u samom srcu Zagreba, pokraj muzeja Mimara i svjetski
poznatog Hrvatskog narodnog kazališta, te udaljenom 5 minuta hoda do glavnog gradskog trga i
stare povijesne jezgre grada s mnoštvom restorana, kafića, dućana i kulturnih znamenitosti.

Venue and Accomodation
Sports venue „Palace of sports” is a big multi-purpose sports hall with the capacity of 10.000 seats. It offers
all necessary auxiliary facilities: training halls, locker rooms, sauna and press area. It is located only 100m
walking distance from the 4-star „Four Points by Sheraton Panorama Zagreb” hotel where all the participants
(athletes, coaches, referees) will be accommodated. The hotel features 280 fully equipped twin rooms with
Satellite TV and free broadband Internet access, cafes, restaurants, lounges and conference rooms. The
swimming pool next to the hotel will be available for all the participants. Buffet style meals will be served in
the hotel. This great hotel is only 15 min walking distance from the central city square and it is surrounded
with many nice cafes and restaurants.
FILA and CELA bureau members will have maximum comfort and conditions for FILA/CELA meetings in the
5-star luxury „Westin Zagreb” hotel which is located in the very heart of the city. The hotel is next to Mimara
Museum and the world famous National Theater and Opera House. It is a 5 minute walk from the central city
square and market, where there are many trendy cafes, restaurants, designer boutiques and many cultural
attractions to see.

Zagreb je glavni i najveći grad Hrvatske. Po povijesnoj tradiciji, kulturnim odnosima i, ponajviše,
zbog svog urbanog planiranja (potkova u Donjem gradu, područje oko kazališta), Zagreb je izrazito

Zagreb is the largest city and the capital of Croatia. By its historical tradition, cultural relations, and above
all, its urban planning (the Lower town „horseshoe”, the area around the theatre) Zagreb is a distinctly
central European city. Situated in the middle of the triangle of Vienna, Budapest and Venice, it always
