NOVEMBER SCHOOL BULLETIN Friday, 31st October 2014 FRIDAY, 7th NOVEMBER – SCHOOL FEES This is the last day for tuition payments for November. A late fee of € 1.00 per day will be charged for payments made after this date. The Payment office in open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 12.00 and Wednesday from 14:30 to 15:30. MONDAY, 10th NOVEMBER – 2nd ACADEMIC QUARTER BEGINS FRIDAY, 14th NOVEMBER – TRIP TO DOWNTOWN ROME AND JOHN CABOT UNIVERSITY- GRADE 11 & 12 MONDAY, 17th NOVEMBER – REPORT CARDS & MID-TERM REPORTS In this day we will send you an email with the Mid-Term Reports for grades KG to 5th and Report cards for grades from 6 to 12th. It is not necessary to come to the Office to pick them up. WEDNESDAY, 19th NOVEMBER– PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES (8:30-14:45)– NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS There will be Parent/Teacher conferences on this date. Teachers will be available by appointment from 8:30 to 14:45 in the relative school buildings. Please make sure to schedule your appointments through the School Office from Monday, 10th November to Monday 17thNovember 2013 until 16.00. There will be daycare available during your appointment time only for children from Preschool through Grade 5. MONDAY 24th – FRIDAY 28th NOVEMBER – SPECIAL WEEK – AMERICAN WEEK More info to follow. THURSDAY, 27 NOVEMBER – THANKSGIVING DAY & APPLE PIE CONTEST The Student Council will celebrate Thanksgiving Day by serving a lunch consisting of: Turkey Burger, Drink and Cake. The cost is € 4,00. Pre-School through Grade 6 must pay directly to their class teachers; Grades 7 – 12 must pay to their class rep. The last day to pay is Friday, 21st November. Proceeds go to the Student Fund. There will be no school Lunch Program on this day. Student Council will also host an Apple Pie Contest always on Thursday, 27th November. Future Bakers now is your chance to show off your culinary skills! Bring your cakes Thursday morning to Mrs. Montesano’s office (Bld B) and please do not forget to include your name. There will be a prize for the best pie. Siete pregati di contattare la segreteria per fissare un appuntamento a partire da lunedì 10 novembre ed entro e non oltre lunedì 17 novembre fino alle ore 16:00. La scuola metterà a disposizione un servizio di Baby parking durante i colloqui con gli insegnanti solo per gli studenti dal Pre-School alla 5a. GIOVEDI’, 27 NOVEMBRE – FESTA DEL RINGRAZIAMENTO E GARA DI TORTE DI MELE Il comitato studentesco celebrerà l’occasione servendo il seguente menù: Hamburger di tacchino, bibita e fetta di torta. Il costo è di € 4,00. Gli studenti dal Pre-School alla classe 6a dovranno pagare direttamente all’insegnante di classe; gli studenti dalla 7a alla 12a dovranno pagare al loro rappresentante di classe. L’ultimo giorno per il pagamento è venerdì 21 novembre. In questa data sarà sospeso il servizio di mensa scolastica. Il ricavato sarà devoluto al fondo studentesco. Inoltre, il comitato studentesco organizzerà, sempre per giovedì 28 novembre, una gara per la migliore Torta di Mele. Futuri cuochi adesso è il vostro momento per mostrare le vostre abilità culinarie! Portate le vostre torte giovedì mattina direttamente nell’ufficio di Mrs. Montesano al Blocco B. Non dimenticate di scrivere il vostro nome.
