英語活動教材集英語活動教材集 English educational materials for elementary schools A bilingual collection for ALTs, HRTs & JTEs 長崎県大村市立中央小学校 Nagasaki,Omura,Chuo Elementary School e-mail: [email protected] Tel: 0957-53-2046 Fax: 0957-53-2047 英語活動で使用する教材について子どもたちが楽しく英語に親しむ活動を行うには，教師がその学習の目的に合った教材を用意することが必要です。ここでは，これまでに本校で使用した教材の一部を紹介します。カード類の多くはパソコンで作成しました。使用したソフトは（株）ジャストシステムの「一太郎 Ver.13」です。これらについては付録の CD-R に収録していますのでカラープリンターで印刷することができます。また，モンスター的当てや色魚釣りセットなど，手作りの教材については写真で紹介しています。 Concerning English language educational materials In order to facilitate a lively and educational class for students, it is necessary for teachers to prepare educational materials to meet their studying needs. Here, we would like to introduce some of the materials and English activities used thus far at our school. Most of the cards produced here where made on the computer using the Ichitaro Ver.13. All the data in this book can be found on the accompaning CD-r, and can be printed out on a color printer. In addittion we will introduce some handmade materials to you in this book, games such as the monster shooting boards, color fishing set, etc. これらはフラッシュカードの例です。カルタなど，いろいろなゲームに使えます。 These are an example of flashcards. They can be used in a various games such as "Karuta" etc. （スポーツのフラッシュカード） (Sports flashcard) （数と動物・果物を組み合わせたフラッシュカード） (Flashcards combinding numbers, animals and fruits.) （心や体の状態のフラッシュカード）（feelings flashcards）心や体の状態を表すこれらのイラストは，手書きのものです。 These feelings illustration are handwritten.. （職業のフラッシュカード）(flashcards for different professions) これはＩＤカードの例です。名前を聞いたり，好きな色，食べ物，スポーツを聞いたりと，様々な英会話のゲームに使えます。 This is an example of an ID Card game. It can be used to ask names, favorite colors, foods, and sports．It's very useful in many English conversation games. （有名人やアニメのキャラクターを使ったＩＤカード） (An ID Card game using famous people and Anime characters) ビンゴゲームもカードを工夫することで，様々な内容を扱うことができます。 With a little creativity, a Bingo card can be used with many different contents （誕生日のビンゴカード） (A Birthday Bingo card) Go up や Go left など，方向の指示の学習を終えたら，グリッドを使ったゲームができます。 After practicing such directions as "Go up" or "Go left", this grid can be used for a grid game. （国旗のグリッド） (National Flags grid) （大村市のグリッド）(Omura city grid) ボードゲームは，ゲームの中で児童同士が英会話をするルールを作ることで，遊びながら英会話の機会が増やせます。 For this board game, students are asked only to speak in English with their classmates, thus they can have fun while increasing their opportunity to speak English. （大村市すごろくゲーム）(Omura city board game) （大村市すごろくゲーム用のカード）(Omura city board game card) 社会科などと関連させて外国についての調べ学習をするのも，外国への興味関心を高めるのに有効です。その際，調べた国の人になりきって自己紹介をさせると楽しいです。 Enlisting the help of Social Studies teachers, having students research a foreign country is an effective way to increase their interest in other counties and cultures. After the research, having students take on the nationality of that country and giving a short self introduction is a fun activity. (調べ学習用のワークシート) (Research worksheet) 英語活動では，児童に新しい英単語を示す際，教師用の大きいカードが必要になります。また，フォニックスのカードなどは，英語活動室に常時掲示しておくとよいと思います。 When teaching students new vocabulary, it is very useful for the teacher to have large vocabulary cards. I also think that phonics cards and the like can be effectively used by displaying them on the English classroom bullitin board. （フォニックスの掲示用カード） (Phonics card) フォニックスとはアルファベットと発音の関係を示して学習する方法のことです。 Phonics is a method of studying the relation between the Alphabet and the Pronunciation of words. モンスター的当て Monster shooting boards 白いスチロール板に絵の具でモンスターの絵を描き，その後で耳，肩，ひざ，つまさきをカッターで穴を開けました。穴に入ったボールが転がっていかないように，穴の向こう側にはビニール袋を取り付けています。 Using white foam board, draw and paint pictures of monsters, then cut out holes at the ear, the shoulder, the knee, and the toes. In order to make sure that the balls that enter the hole are not lost, attach a plastic bag to the back of each hole. 首にかけるカード Pendant cards 首にかけられるように，ひもをつけたカードです。フルーツバスケットゲームや，どこにいるかなゲームを行うときに役立ちます。ひもを通す穴は破れやすいので，補強シールをはるとよいです。 These are pendant cards, made by passing a cord through a card which can be hung from one's neck. They can be used for games such as "Fruits basket" or the "Where are you game". The holes through which the cords are passed tend to tear easily, so don't forget to re-inforce them with seals. 色魚釣りセット Color fishing set 色画用紙を魚の形に切り，口の部分に大きめのクリップをつけています。竿のひもの先には強力磁石をつけていますので，低学年でも簡単にねらった色の魚を釣ることができます。 For this game, cut colored paper into fish shapes, and attach a large paper clip to the mouth area. At the end of your fishing rod and line, attach a strong magnet, this way even the lower grade level students will be able to catch fish easily. 教材の整理・保管について Organizing and storing Educational materials 作成した教材は，何がどこにあるかがすぐわかるように，分類して保管しておくことが大切です。本校では，下の写真のようにファイルボックスやポリ袋を使って，整理しています。中身が何なのかを示すシールを貼っておくとよいと思います。 Effectively sorting and storing prepared educational materials in a way that allows them to be retrieved with ease is very important. At our school, materials are sorted and stored in files and plastic bags, as shown in the picture below. In addition I think it's a good idea to attach lables indicating the content of each file.
