(B) Course Description
The course gives a brief description of the macroscopic and microscopic ffeatures of the various
systems of the human body. The course also explains the anatomical structures and comprehends the
topographic anatomy of the body systems including the skeleton, muscles, respiratory, urinary,
digestive, cardiovascular, reproductive, endocrinal and nervous systems.
(C) Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
1) Define different anatomical terms.
2) Identify the different systems of the body and their anatomical features.
3) Recognize different
erent types of muscles in the body, their characteristics and classifications.
4) Classify different types of bones and joints, their general features, structure and functions.
5) Differentiate the structure of different tissues of the body and the line structu
structure of the human cells.
