Particularly suited for sustained pressure, and resistant to contamination, bourdon tube switches are highly accurate. They consist of a housing (1), bourdon tube (2) striker plate (3), 2 micro switches (4) and 2 adjustment screws (5). The pressure signal acts upon bourden tube (2). As pressure increases, bourdon tube (2) expands and attached lever (3) transmits the expansion of bourdon tube (2) to a linear movement to activate micro switch (4). The electrical circuit is switched on or off, dependent on field wiring. If pressure continues to rise, bourdon tube (2) continues to bend, and the second micro switch is actuated by lever (3). The second circuit is switched dependent on field wiring. 1 2 4 Adjustment of the Switching Pressure The two switching pressures are determined by the position of the micro switches, which are adjusted independently by screws (5). The switching pressure differential is variable, and fully adjustable.
