Dear Family Member:
Word Workout
This week we are reading Ranita, The Frog Princess,
a play about a talking frog and a viceroy’s son. The frog
asks the viceroy’s son to keep a promise in return for a
favor he performs. The son promises and then rushes
away without keeping it. I’m making a judgment that
the son has no sense of honor.

You Be the Judge
Let’s make judgments about each candidate running for
president. Then we can make a poster for the candidate of
our choice.
Maria
Maria is smart and clever. She knows how to make
a good deal and is caring toward others. Even
though she is a dog, a scruffy-looking one at that,
Maria would make an excellent president.
Martin
Perhaps Martin is not as rotten as he seems. After
all, it’s not his fault he was spoiled. He can’t keep
promises. He’s rude and has no manners. Still, he
might make a good president.

PALABRAS DE ORTOGRAFÍA
Esta semana estamos leyendo Ranita, The Frog
honor, estoy haciendo
un juicio.
