I is for starting sentences with –ing verbs.
E is for starting sentences with –ed verbs.
Adverbs

who relies on instinct rather
than on following the rulebook.
Connectives (while, as, during, before, after,
although, as, unless, when, whenever etc)
As you watch yet another lazy
crime drama, you realise how
sad and uninspired your life has
become.
Adjectives: pair two adjectives at the start of a
sentence; link with ‘and’ or ‘but’.
Shiny and smug, this
irritating presenter smirks
at his gullible guests.
Relative pronouns
(who/which/whose/that)
The studio audience, whose
collective IQ is 7, groans like
a mob of sick zombies.
Prepositions

lurked.
Punctuation
