Now what??” How to deal with the nonstop demands and unexpected situations that TA’s face can be a daunting challenge. Expletive-laden tirades are a good start, but what you really need is sound, practical advice. You need … the Über TA. Send your TA-related questions to the Über at [email protected]. Leigh Tolley, Über TA Dear Über TA: So, this year’s basically done for me as a TA, and I’m pretty confident that I’m good to go through the next month with my students. I think I did a decent job this year (it was my first time teaching), and I feel a lot more ready to be a TA again next year. Teaching is more enjoyable than I thought it would be—what kind of stuff is out there that I can check out to keep getting better at it? —A Step Ahead Dear Ahead: Congrats on coming to a close on your first year of teaching!
